6:10 P.M. - B r i a n a's P.O.V
Pinuntahan namin ni Sayoko ang kuwarto ng nakabungguan namin matapos naming magpahinga. Nakita namin ang isang lalaking nasa labas at may benda ang ulo niya. And I can't believe I'll see him here!
"Henry?" Gulat kong tanong sa kaniya nang makalapit kami. Why is he here? I thought he's still in Japan?
"B-Briana... ayos lang ba kayo?" He asked and bowed down to me and Sayoko.
"Bakit ka nandito? At bakit may benda ang ulo mo?"
"S-sorry ms. Mendoza..." he apologized suddenly.
"It's Mrs. Takahashi." Sabat ni Sayoko na ikinagulat ni Henry, pero 'di kalaunan ay napangiti siya sa aming dalawa.
"Sorry Mrs. Takahashi, I forgot about being your personal driver. It's just that, I found her." He chuckled. I let out a soft sigh before smiling to him. He finally found the girl he's been looking for.
"It's okay," hinawakan ko ang kamay ni Sayoko at tumitig sa pintuan kagabi namin. "Kayo ba nakabunggo sa amin?" I asked.
"Yes- sorry about that. We just got into a heated fight." He explained. "I'm sorry."
"It's alright. Next time you fight, please fight in bed." singit ni Sayoko. Kinurot ko ang tagiliran niya para matigil 'tong kabaliwan niya. Natatawang tumango-tango si Henry kay Sayoko.
I shook my head and tapped his shoulder.
"We're going to get going now. Take care of her, 'kay?" Ngumiti siya bago siya tumango kaya kumaway na ako sa kaniya at hinila na si Sayoko patungo sa kotse niyang isa. It's a black Mercedes-Benz.
Iginaya niya ako sa passenger seat at tinungo ang driver's seat matapos akong lagyan ng seatbelt. Sumandal ako sa upuan, tumingin sa labas at naramdaman ang kamay ni Sayoko na nakapatong sa kamay ko.
"Nakarating na kay Okaasan 'yung nangyari. But good thing they didn't panicked." pinisil niya ang kamay ko. Napatingin ako sa kaniya at ngumiti, pinisil ko rin ang kamay niya.
I was actually worried about us. I was worried sick. But during the accident, I felt warmth towards Sayoko's embrace. It feels like 3 people was hugging me- wait no, 4 people. My mother, Father, Sayoko and my baby. It feels surreal.
"Are you really okay?" dinala niya ang kamay ko patungo sa labi niya. He placed planted soft kisses at the back of my hand while looking at the road.
"Yes,"
"Mom said that we should get married this month," tumigil siya sa isang resto-bar. He looked at me and removed his seatbelt.
This month? Already? Bakit parang nirurush nila 'yung kasal? What's with the sudden date? Kung ganoon, kailangan before a week later ay planado na ang kasal namin. It's the third week of the month, so we only have a week to get everything ready. WHAT?
"Hey, don't stress yourself. For now, don't think about it and leave it all to me." Hinawakan niya ang kamay ko, iginaya niya ako palabas ng kotse at pumasok sa loob ng resto-bar ng mga Rowan.
Then inside there, near the window, I saw a group of familiar girls waving at us. Naguguluhang nilingon ko si Sayoko. Binigyan niya ako ng masuyong ngiti at nagtanim ng malambot na halik sa noo ko.
"Bri," I heard Amber's voice calling me.
Sayoko kissed the back of my hand before tapping my head. "Enjoy, aka-chan and daddy's baby. See you both at the wedding." He winked, he made his way out of the resto-bar and waved his hand before going inside the car.
Nilingon ko sila, umupo ako sa tabi nila Amber at nginitian sila. And my college friends were present aswell.
"Eunice! You're a woman now!" Nakangiti kong sambit, tinignan ko ang paninibago sa katawan niya at lihim na napangiti. Since then, Eunice has always been our cardboard friend. But now? She got her chest so big.
"Alagang himas ata si Eunice," Olivia, our so-called popular friend since college. She's popular because of her modeling career and make-up tutorials in youtube.
"Sus! Kahit 'di ipahimas 'yan, lalaki naman ata iyan." Amber commented. She has a point. Hindi naman laging himas ang katapat ng pangpalaki ng dibdib. Maybe you're still a growing lady, that's all.
"I heard that you're pregnant," now their attention diverted to me.
"Yes, I am."
"Jusmeyo kang babae ka! May Pa-deny deny ka pang nalalaman noon tapos ngayon? Najuntis ng Aho!" Naagaw ni Amber ang atensyon ng tao sa loob ng resto-bar kaya nahihiyang tumayo si Kiera para mag-sorry.
Talaga 'tong babaeng 'to.
"Grabe naman, Kathy-girl! Napaka noisy mo pa rin pala hanggang ngayon!" Nakangiwing sambit ni Olivia. Natawa kaming lahat sa sinabi niya, umorder kami ng makakain at nagkwentuhan hanggang sa makauwi kami sa magarbong bahay ni Olivia.
It's a modern mansion and it looks so fancy. I bet she has a chandelier hanging at the ceiling if we go inside.
"Kakaiba ka talaga Olivia. Napaka-gara ng bahay mo!" Amber once again, started the noises.
We spent the week there in her house without the boys. I just remembered what Sayoko has told me, that I shouldn't stress myself for our baby. Good thing, the girls' noises can make me feel happy and at ease.
And in that week, we already have our gowns for my wedding. My wedding gown has this little crystals and a little bit of sunflower designs. My eyes dropped to my ring finger. Sayoko gave me this sunflower ring he bought when I was working in SM City.
"I swear, Briana Celine Mendoza-Takahashi! You will look so gorgeous in that dress!" Olivia praises. I never really feel so emotional about them complimenting me, but my tears poured so fast.
"Nako! Sabi sayo nakakaiyak pag niloloko mo siya e!" I heard Amber laughed. Nakitawa ako sa kanila at niyakap sila. I've been so emotional lately and maybe it's because I'm pregnant. Is my baby going to be a strong girl or boy? I remember my mom saying that if you shed tears, you are a strong person.
Tomorrow will be my last day as Briana Mendoza, though we already got married in Japan. The feeling of getting married here is not like how I felt in Japan, this will be different. Because I know, my family's presence will be attending, ate Candy and the others can see me and Sayoko getting wed. Unlike in Japan, the few guests' was there and his family. I don't quite know the guests' but some of them are Sayoko's best chefs and Daddy Raiko's business partners whom he'd worked with.
I sighed and smiled. Being with Sayoko is a good choice. I'm glad that I listened to my ate Candy. Denying my feelings for Sayoko doesn't do good, it will never change anything if I keep on denying it. So now, I'm staying by his side, I will never leave him.
If he leaves me, pake ko? E 'di aakitin ko siya ng paulit-ulit. Kahit ilang rounds pa 'yan, Basta sa'kin lang siya.
