Tears Tells No Lies

A week have past after the incident that occured in Adventure Bay,the incident that nearly cost Marshall's life to be taken away from him,a week is the only amount of time Marshall needed to recover,now his back to his original cheerful yet clumsy self,being able to return to the ordinary,the citizens seemed to have also forgotten about the incident and are now moving forward,now the people,are back doing there daily routine,the restaurant was back,better than usual,the mayor has helped the poor chef with the expenses with the help of the donation of the other people,including the Paw Patrol,

Marshall's POV:

It's been a week,since the fire,the fire that almost took lives of innocent people,including mine,I knew that,that moment was my last,I knew that death has his grasp into me,but to think that Chase risk his life to save me,grabbing me from the grasp of death,if it wasn't for him I wouldn't be here,I would be sleeping in a coffin,buried in the Adventure Bay Cemetary,but no I wasn't,Chase has given me my second chance,my second life,realizing it was not my time yet,Ryder told me that Chase even gave me a mouth to mouth resurrection,the thought of it made me all flustered and all red,after the incident,a thought came to me,'Is the fire,a good thing?'

I immediately brush it off my mind,focusing on what I'm doing,laying down on a hill doing nothing,looking at the big blue sky,stretching my paw,that all people know,the sky is out of their reach.Picking up a small flower,doing those removing the petals while asking a question,making a really long sigh,thinking,'Should I just....tell...him,or should I not?',those words stayed in my mind,thinking it over and over again.Plucking the last petal,'I tell him!' I thought,standing up in all fours,I rush to the lookout,at walking pace trying to slow myself down,I headed to the lobby,but he wasn't there,I ride the elevator as it rose up,looking at the control room his not here either,the last attemt was his pup house,I ran to where his pup house is located,I knock,but still his answer was not heard,so he isn't here either,I circled the lookout and there he was,standing after the tree,from this distance,I was about to yell his name then I notice that he was talking to someone,but from this distance I couldn't see or hear who it was,so I did what I did best besides fighting fire,sneaking and walking as quite as a mouse,I got from the tree,not exposing my self,and noticing that he was talking to Skye!? ,then finally I'm hearing their conversation,I didn't mind glancing at them,it's enough just hearing them,

"Chase,can I tell you something?"said by the female voice,assuming that it was from Skye,

"Wha...what is it,?"Chase utter,I could feel that his nervous from his words,then I heard Skye took a deep breath, 'is..is she confessing,her love?' I melancholy thought to myself,then finally Skye spoke....

"Chase,I....I love you......"Skye spoke revealing her secret,her voice we're shaking from the sound of it,I can't help but still some glances,I saw Chase's face is frozen,shocked,by the sudden event,the same goes for me,I never thought Skye would confess earlier,then she spoke again,"Do..do you fell the same way,Chase,?"she asked,getting closer to Chase,only a half a meter apart,then I saw Chase,smiled,as he closen the gap between them,getting closer to the cockapoo,then what said next completely shattered my heart,

"Skye...thank you,but the truth is...I love you too,"Skye's smile couldn't be in the sweetest form,hearing those words from him,the cockapoo immediately pulled Chase into a hug,and Chase indeed hug back.I couldn't take it anymore,I started to slowly shred tears,my legs felt weak as I feel to the ground,not making a sound,crying in silence,I couldn't stop it,I force my legs to stand up,as I walk away from the scene,walking slowly at my first pace,I found myself getting faster and faster,still the tears in my eyes is still falling in my eyes,I felt that  I'm getting far far away,from them,still I cried,and cried while running away,

'I'm sorry Ryder,I said I have courage but I don't,I'm sorry,I don't believe anymore.'

I apologised in my thoughts as I remember Ryder's words,from the camping trip,the words that had given me hope,the words that lift me high up,are now like chains,chains that are dragging me down,breaking my aching heart,I knew that Skye and Chase likes each other,I prepared myself for the worse,but I didn't realized it would hurt this much,I found myself running towads the a tree that looks very familliar to me,I have now slowed my pace at walking speed,realizing what just happened,I tiredly walk towards the tree sitting besides it's thick body,now knowing  that this tree belonged to Lil. Whotie,Chase's owl friend.The sun was only starting to set,I heavily created a long,sorrowful sigh,then again,my eyes still has plenty of tears to shed,so I did,howling from my sadness,yet I smile looking up at the red and orange sky,glancing at it's irregular shape,remembering someones face,whispering.

'You deserve,each other."

Chase's POV:

Skye,has called me over from my pup house,saying that she wanted to ask me about something,I was getting nervous,not knowing what's gonna happen next,we we're walking at this tree at the yard,that holds the swing,that Marshall always swing on,then Skye stopped in her tracks,looking to me face to face,her pink rosey eyes were looking at me in a gaze,that calms down a burning soul,then she spoke,

"Chase,can I tell you something,?she asked after clearing her throat,preparing for something important to say,

"Wha..what is it?"I utterd back,vibrations run through my throat,silence filled the surrounding but only for a short while,because Skye finally spoke,"Chase...I.....I love you,",she said,making my eyes widened,making my heart beat faster,another silence has occur in this space,then she spoke again,"Do..do...you feel the same way,Chase?"she continued getting close to me,then I smiled,"Skye.....thank you.,but the truth is..I love you too,"she smiled,cutting the gap between us,hugging me with her little paws,I smiled to,knowing that the pup I used to love has feelings for me,but that was all in the past,the present is now a different story,then I hold here down,"Skye,I do love you,but only as a sister and a friend,"she became speechless,her eyes,began to show sadness and confusion,"Wha...what do you mean,?she ask,"I do love you Skye,but only as a sister,I can't go pass that point,my heart already belong to someone else,"I said,explaining it to her,without hurting her feelings,but that would seem imposibble,because she had turned her back at me,hiding her face,"It's....it's Marshall,isn't it?"she said,making me surprised,making me curious on how she knew.

"How,?"I can't help but ask,then she faced me again,"It was after the incident,when Marshall nearly died,you rush to his aid,I thought you we're only worried to him as a brother,but I was wrong,you we're worried because you might lose the pup you love,I was watching from above,"she answered,revealing a fake smile,"Skye."I said in a low voice then tears,began to escape her eyes,"I knew it,you love him do you,"she continued in a sorrowful voice,a breeze suddenly came across us,blowing her hair to her eyes,smiling while starting to shed a single teardrop from her eyes,"Skye,I'm sorry,"I apologized,"Don't be,I can't force you to love someone,you don't right,?I understand,"she continued getting close to me,"Go tell him,Chase,I saw him just a moment ago,crying,I think he misheard us,"she said just below my chin,looking up to me,but what she said was right,I did catch a scent of Marshall,I didn't realize he was listening to us,then I positioned myself in running pace,but before running I look at to Skye,"Skye,thank you,for understanding,"then she smiled at me in a decent gesture,her eyes we're close,as she smiles,"then I finally ran,running towards the direction of the scent,then I heard Skye,yell something,

"Don't cheat on him!!"she yelled,getting smaller and smaller from the view and  she was now nowhere insight.
