The following morning came quick, Haneul dodging all traces of existence as she weaved her way through her crowded halls. The amount of regret for yesterday couldn't be described in words, and judging by the fact that her cheeks were already red by period 1 was saying a lot.
It was unfortunate that they had sport, meaning more interactions and more eye contact She couldn't bare to break her continuous staring contest with the floor, she hadn't won yet
With her gym bag tightly clutched to her chest, she heaved herself into the locker room and thanking the lord that it was empty. As always, nothing really goes her way. After successfully changing without much disturbance, the toilet stalls creaked open and out came girls with their shirts tied up to expose their stomach they had probably cared more about than their grades.
She didn't care about them, it only mattered that she wasn't one of them.
"Did you see what happened yesterday?" the gossip was a given to those stereotypical teenagers of every high school novel.
"The girl that kissed Haechan?" She gasped rather dramatically, it was completely uncalled for, especially to the fact that Haneul was in the bathroom too.
"Who doesn't know about it! it all over SNS!" If someone rolling their eyes could generate sound, Haneul's eyeballs would probably be screaming right now.
"I bet she only tried to become a demon to get with Haechan" This was the 4th voice from behind the mirror, and Haneul was getting ready to have some fist fights
"You don't need to worry, she's an imposter. Haechan never even considers an imposter, if anything, he'd date a pure demon"
Imposter
She clutched her bag and threw herself out of the locker room, holding back from rearranging their faces. The gym was packed, and her eyes immediately landed on the 6 gathered in a circle, each yelling at each other for gods know what reason.
The class was straight forward, until they got to partner work. Because teachers were lazy, everyone was split into desk partners, and conveniently, her desk partner was the infamous Lee Haechan.
Great timing
Stalking over to the demon boy with the basketball thrown around in his palms, she swallowed down all awkwardness and embarrassments before taking the ball from his hand and gesturing him over to the line of people without even saying a word.
The event lay fresh in their minds, and it didn't seem as if it was going to leave anytime soon. The ball was dribbled down the court, which then Haechan caught and got the rebound. They were glad it was a simple drill, which made it easier for them to have 0 communication.
The ball was thrown to her in which she threw it back to Haechan and Haechan dunked it into the hoop. It was the same thing over and over again, no words, no nothing. The drills changed every now and then and now they were onto these running drills that seemed to have nothing to do with basketball, besides the fact that they were dribbling a basketball.
