Chapter 6

Chapter 6: Vacation

It was around 8:00 in the evening when I am scrolling on some petty posts on my social media accounts when a group chat popped on my screen. It was unnamed kaya nagtaka ako. I opened it at nakita ko ang names nina Chubs, Kyle, Camille, Irene, Andrew, at Dave. Dave was one of Chubs' close friend. Nakita kong si Andrew ang gumawa ng group chat.

Camille: Guys since we have given a week to rest, why don't we go sleep over

Irene: Sama ako diyan

Charles: Kaninong bahay naman?

Camille: Sa inyo Charles? Di pwede?

Charles: Sa iba nalang. Huwag lang dito sa bahay

Andrew: If you want guys we have a rest house in Tagaytay.

Dave: Yooownnn!! Kailan to?

Andrew: Anytime. Kailan niyo ba gusto?

Kyle: Since its a rest house naman let's make it a three day vacation nalang

Charles: Baka hindi pwede yung iba

Irene: Let's vote nalang.

They made a poll and almost all of them voted the three day vacation.

Dave: Si pres hindi naman nakapagvote eh

Camille: Seener pres

"Magpapaalam lang ako"

Kyle: KJ naman eh

Irene: Papayagan ka niyan pres

Camille: Sama na kasi pres Minsan lang to

"Sabihan ko nalang kayo bukas kung sasama ako"

I logged out and tried to sleep. I hope mama would let me come with them.

Halos tirik ang araw nang nagtext si Kyle na pupunta daw siya dito sa bahay. Agad naman akong nagbihis para makapaghanda na rin. I wear my usual pambahay. A simple shirt paired with a long shorts.

I was almost done when I received a message from him na nasa labas na siya. I ran immediately on our front door.

"Kyle" bati ko sa kanya "Pasok ka"

"Ikaw lang dito?" Tanong niya.

"Hindi. Kasama ko mga kapatid ko tyaka yung mga katulong"

"May kapatid ka pa pala?"

"Oo. Kyle, bakit ka pala pumunta dito?"tanong ko nang umabot na kami sa sala.

"Aayain sana kitang lumabas."

"Lumabas? Bakit?"

"Birthday ko" nahihiyang sabi niya.

"Really? Happy birthday then." Sabi ko at niyakap siya.

"Kaso Kyle mukhang hindi ako pwede ngayon"

"Bakit naman?"

"Walang kasama mga kapatid ko Kyle."

"Ah ganun ba. Sige. Uwi nalang ako"

He was about to turn around when I stopped him.

"If.. If. If you want you can stay here. I can bake you a cake. We can celebrate here" I shyly suggested.

I saw hope on his face and it made me less guilty.

"Totoo?"

"B-but I can't guarantee you that it would taste good" I chuckled.
