Chapter 15

Chapter 15: Games

Its already September and its Intramurals time! Our school celebrates it differently from other schools by having a camping outside the school premise.

This year, our school chose a farm not far from our town. It has a large green field where we can set up our tents. A two-story town house is built for the care takers of the farm. The fruits and vegetables are neatly arranged at the back of the town house. There is also a small lake to add a relaxing area for the visitors to swim and unwind.

We are currently fixing our tents together with the other students. I am sleeping with Irene and Camille.

"How was you and Kyle, Nat?" Tanong ni Camille habang inuunat ang tent.

"O-okay naman"

"Nakita ko iyung last post sa account mo. Family ba ni Kyle iyon?"

"Oo Camille. Its his mother's birthday"

"Meet the parents na pala ah" panunukso ni Irene. "Sana all" pahabol pa niya.

"Haha. Hindi naman Irene"

"Pero you know what Nat, napaka ideal niyang si Kyle. Mabait.. Mayaman.. Tsaka gwapo. Saan ka pa?" Nagtawan lang sila ni Camille.

"Oo nga Nat, jackpot ka" nakitawa na lang din ako sa kanila para hindi na humaba ang storya.

"Speaking of your prince charming" napabaling kami ni Irene sa tinitingnan ni Camille. Its Kyle walking towards us.

"Nat tulungan ko na kayo"

"Hwag na --"

"Thank you Kyle" Singit ni Camille. Napakibit balikat nalang ako.

Our first day was mostly spent on setting up our things. In the evening was the opening ceremony to formally start the event. Different clubs have their little intermission just to light up the mood. After that, we were divided into groups having 10 members for the games tomorrow.

"Group 4?" Tanong ko kay Camille

"Sayang. 7 ako" nilagpasan nalang namin ang isa't isa at hinanap na ang mga kagroupo.

"4?" Tanong ko sa freshmen kong nakasalamuha. Umiling siya kaya nagpatuloy na ako.

"Nat.. Anong group ka?" Salubong ni Kyle.

"4... Ikaw?"

"4 din" wow!! Really?

"Nice. Kagroupo tayo" masiglang bati na..

Dumiretso kami sa gilid at doon hinintay ang mga kagroupo.

"4.. Group 4.. Group 4 dito." Salitang sabi namin ni Kyle. Marami na ang mga lumalapit sa amin at hinihintay nalang ang isa dahil siyam na kami.

"Sino pa ang group 4 diyan?" Sigaw ko para marinig.

"Ako!" Sabay ngisi ni Chubs.

"Chubs!!" Agad ko siyang sinalubong.

"Magkasama tayo" masiglang bati ko. Hinila ko siya papunta sa ibang kagroupo namin.

Pinabunot kami ng team color namin at ang nakuha namin ay blue. Binigyan kami nang tig-iisang band at dapat isuot namin ito all the time. I decided to tie it on my hair making it a head band. Ang iba ay inilagay nila sa mga braso nila para hindi mawala.

"Guys get ready for tomorrow. For sure mananalo itong grupo natin" sabi sakin ni Chloe. Ang team leader naming bakla.

"Lets do our cheer before we go" agad namin pinatong patong ang mga kamay namin sa gitna.
