Chapter 5: Abducted

Kim's POV

The next day was the weekend, Sun didn't come home last night and I had no phone with me.After i took my shower, I arranged Kim Seoun's dress in a paper bag ready to return it. I picked up the watch Min gave and admired it for a second with a grin on my face then I wore it round my wrist.
After 2hrs of walking, I got to the mansion.
"Hey,what u want?" The gateman asked
"Here to see Lee...Min...Ho" I said slowly
He picked up the phone and called someone, he nodded in agreement still on the phone.
"Go in"He said disabling the laser
I entered the big compound,before I could finish climbing the stairs, Kim Seoun opened the bug door.
"Kim, I'm so glad to see you" She said as she dragged me in.I still admired their home.
"Its the weekend why are you here?" Kim Seoun asked
"I came to see Min and to give you this. I wanted to thank you for what you did yesterday" I explained.
"I never asked you to return it. And there's no need to thank me.You're a friend to me now" She said to me
"Friend?" She only met me yesterday
"Hmm hmm" She responded
Suddenly Her brother and her cousin Kim Sang came down the stairs
"What's the foreigner doing here?" Kim Hyun Joong asked his sister but she didnt respond
"Min isn't here. I've noticed my brother has a soft spot for you"Kim Sang said to me
"Oppa enough" Kim Seoun said to both of them
"I know it sucks to be a little sister to all of them" Kim Seoun said to me trying to mock them I guess she was defending me
"You looked beautiful for a ugly duckling last night" Kim Hyun Joong said with a calm voice than he does before.
"Thats a first" I said to him quietly
"I'm allowed to noticed good things when I see one" He responded.
"Oppa, you need to hold your girlfriend on the lease, I heard she embarrassed Kim yesterday" Kim Seoun said to Kim Sang
"Its not my fault they got into a fight, I enjoyed the drama last night" Kim Sang said sarcastically
"Sometimes i wonder if you even love that pompous girl" Kim Seoun said to him coldly.
"Kim Seoun enough. Meet me on the island later"Kim Hyun Joong said. He hair was still straightened and blonde.
"Take care foreigner" He added and left with his cousin
"Your family has an island?" I was shocked to see how rich they were.
"Yes we do. You should come with"Kim said but I was not totally into it.
"Sorry i can't,Sun didn't make it home last night, I have to go wait up for her at home" I gave an excuse not to go
"Don't let my brothers intimidate you,they are just lucky bullies.If you get to know them more they are actually nice, I guess Min is the odd one out.He's just too nice" Kim ranted
"Agreed" I responded jokingly and we chuckled
Kim Seoun accompanied me out of the house and when we got outside,a black van rushed into the compound suddenly with the sound of the screeching tires too loud enough to tear someone's ears out.Two guys came out of the car and tried to kidnap us but they ended up taking me instead.I was so scared that I kept on screaming,one of the bad men wanted to shut me up,so he did it with a chloroform.
I woke up to the sound of clanging on the ground. It looked like to they took me to an abandoned warehouse without even tieing me up.
"Somebody help!,anyone?!" I shouted
But a man came in with 3 other men behind him.I was surprised that they didn't cover up their faces.
"Where am i?, let me go, let me go, let me go!" I shouted again
"Hey, keep quiet. The noise, too much, irritating"He couldn't speak English fluently though
"Why'd you kidnap me?" I asked but no one answered
Suddenly we heard a noise,it sounded like someone was beating up someone. He ordered his men to check out what's going on in Korean.When I noticed he wasn't looking,I hit him and tried to run but he caught my hand, he drew me back and gave me a punch in my stomach and on my face then slammed me against the wall making me pass out.
I woke up to a very warm temperature. I raised my body and opened my eyes clearly to see what was happening. I found myself covered up in a bed,"where am I" I wondered to myself.
"Hey" I heard Min's voice call to me.Min came in with Kim Seoun to check up on me.
"You need to rest. This is my room. You have nothing to worry about" Kim Seoun said to me nicely sitting next to me on the bed.
"My face hurts" I whined making both of them laugh
"That's what you get for putting yourself in trouble" Min scolded me
"Who were they...what did they want with me?" I asked them
"Apparently they weren't after you,they were after me. Sadly they were misguided" Kim Seoun explained
"We think the security guard is one of them, maybe he found a way turn off the lasers and what's worse, we couldn't find him." Kim Seoun added
"He ran away?" I was scared for them
"Yes.But its alright, we're safe.YOU are safe"Kim Seoun encouraged
"Still you were at the wrong place at the wrong time" Min said but I only gave him a smile.
"If not for Min you could have been in worse danger. He rescued you." Kim Seoun said
"How did you find me?" I was curious
"I'm glad you didn't return the watch I gave you" Min said
"It has a GPS system" I said trying to sound smart
"I'm glad the ugly duckling is smart" Min said
"Why do you Koreans call me an ugly duckling haha" I joked making everyone chuckle lightly.
After an hour Min was in his room and Kim was in the shower. So I left the room and headed to the living room and admired the the beautiful mansions and its art works on the wall. I felt someone was standing behind me, I quickly turned to see who it was.
"I see you're healed enough to snoop around the mansion" Kim Hyun Joong said to me.
"I'm sorry I was just..." I didnt know what to say
"When my sister told me what happened, we had to rushed back home" He said to me.
"Is the foreigner alright?" He asked but I only gave him a nod
"The foreigner has a name...its Kim, Kimberly Young" I said coldly to him
"You can call me Kim too" He responded
"I thought that was your family's name?" I wondered
"I'm the one running the family after all"He replied coldly too in his normal boastful manner.
"Kim...Oppa...come upstairs...Min is at it again"Kim exclaimed from the stairs...we rushed up to the stairs and headed for his room.When we got to the door, it was locked.We heard shatters from the room,it was like he was breaking the vases and glasses on the ground. Kim Hyun Joong knocked the door and called out his name but no reply. Kim Seoun came with Kim Sang, maybe she called him from his room,then used the spare key to open the door allowing us in. When we got in, we met him sitting on the floor crying.
Kim Seoun and her brothers couldn't utter a word. I went close to him to console him.
"Min?" I said gently to him touching his knee
He looked up at me then face his head down immediately. I moved closer to him to see his face, he was in pain, emotionally thinking. He suddenly embraced me,maybe to keep him calm.Apparently it worked. I looked up at Kim Seoun and her brother.
After I was able to calm him down,i tucked him on his couch in his bedroom. I and Kim Seoun left Kim Hyun Joong and Kim Sang with Min in the room.
"Are you alright?" Kim Seoun noticed I was worried
"Yeah,I'm just...is he always like this?"I was curious to know why a nice guy like him was so worn out.
"Not really,,,ever since the accident 4 years ago, we just can't seem to get through to him" Kim Seoun was stingy with the information
"What accident?" I got more curious
"Uh...4 years ago Ku Hye Sun's dad and my dad had an accident,which made them go into a coma..." Kim Seoun then paused
"Sun didn't tell me anything..." I said to myself but she heard me
"There are many secrets she has yet to reveal to you. It's best she tells you these things herself. Thank you for helping out with Min, this is the first time anyone was able to calm him down for sometime now, although there was a lady who could" Kim Seoun said,it felt like she was hiding something from me.
"I'll ask the driver to get ready the car so we can drop you off at home" Kim Seoun said to me and headed out.
When we got to my home,I opened the door of the back seat ready to leave when Kim Seoun stopped me.
"I'm sorry you had to see all of that. My cousins and my brother has these terrible tantrums, i'm tired of it too.Min case is just the most complicated" Kim Seoun explained but I said nothing,I was surprised.
"I know this is all strange to you but when it comes to Sun and Min when you found out the truth about them,don't abandon either of them" Kim Seoun instructed me
"I don't understand, what truth?"I had no clue about what she was talking about.
"These bed of secrets is becoming overwhelming." I said to her
"You have to find a way to learn how to lie on it" Kim Seoun said to me.
I got out of the car and closed the door.I waved goodbye as i watched the car leave the premises.
Sun was home, so I ranged the doorbell, she opened the door letting me in. She closed the door behind me as I headed for the bedroom.
"Kim Sang called me, even though he's still angry with me" Sun said to me
I didnt answer because I believed she was still angry with me.
"Look, Kim I'm sorry, I didn't mean all I said in the party" Sun tried to apologize but I hug her instead. I felt warm and relieved from what had happened earlier.
"Do you really love me like a sister?" I asked her slowly
"You I know do" She answered without hesitation.
"Then tell me the truth. If you really are my best friend you would tell me.I wanna know so badly" I said to her
"Okay."She said, I guess my plea worked,she released me from our embrace and looked into my eyes.
"You see, before I came to L.A, I used to be a rich kid like the Kim's, but then an accident happened between my father and Min's father. They were in the same car when it happened. It was so fatal. They both went into coma.The first year,we waited but they didn't wake up and my family's business and wealth were falling apart. So I used the last insurance I had to travel overseas. The Kim brothers insisted on going with me,they promised they would take care of me but I chose to stay behind, that's why Kim Hyun Joong and Kim Sang is angry with me.They have every right to,I'm sorry I didnt tell you Kim." She explained the whole story to me or so i thought.
"Is that why you were unhappy the whole time?" I asked
"The doctors said my father might go into a vegetative state which will force them to remove the life system,I can't afford to continue paying the bills and my mother still depends on me"She told me with a teary voice and hug her.I released her from my embrace and looked at her.
"Tell me one more thing...what is between you and Min?" immediately I asked this question she turned away her face.
"It doesn't matter, all that matters is,he needs all the love and help he can get. It wasn't easy for him after the accident" Sun was still stingy with information.
"It wasn't for you either" I tried to convince her to tell me but still she refused.
"Fine,don't tell me. But know this, when its my turn to hide things from you don't blame me" I tried to sound harsh to her.
