"Y/N, you okay?" Makenna interrupted my thoughts.
"Yeah, I'm fine it's just.. all this work you know? Haven't got much sleep." I was absolutely exhausted. I had been up all night studying and doing the homework that was given, and all because kids my age don't know when to shut up.
"Let's go get you something to eat, you must be starving."

Makenna insisted sitting at the Slytherin table. She says it's because she can't stand the people at her table sometimes but, I know she really just wanted to be next to Draco.
I sat there, completely irrelevant from Makenna and Draco's conversation. I didn't mind though, I didn't really like Quidditch that much anyways.
A weird feeling rushed through my body. I felt eyes watching me as I had my head resting on my hand, picking at my food. I slowly rose my head, hesitating for a minute before a pair of beautiful Onyx eyes connected with mine.
'Professor Snape'. I thought. This time he didn't break his gaze. Moments later I found myself staring. A heat rose upon my cheeks. I looked away, a small smile upon my lips.
"I-I... uh I think I'm gonna go guys." I stood up.
"Oh, ok.. see you later?"
"Uh, yeah." I said quickly. Making my way out of the Great Hall, I decided to stop by the library one more time to put the books away that I had been using.

"Okay." I mumbled, putting the last book away.
At this point I had forgotten to check the time. Typical Y/N, always getting lost in her head. It was past curfew so, I had to be careful not to get caught.
"Y/N?" I spun around to catch Makenna standing in the middle of the hall in her pajamas.
"W-What are you doing out here? Your going to get in trouble."
"Yeah, I could ask the same about you. Where did you go? I was looking for you but, some of the Slytherin girls said you never came back."
"Sorry, I was putting the books back in the library but, of course I lost track of time." I said looking away.
"Come on, before we get caught." Makenna grabbed my hand hurrying down the hall. We couldn't get caught by Filtch or mrs. Noris.
"Makenna, stop.. wait." I pulled her back. Everything was quiet until we heard footsteps.. fast ones too.
" oh, no... Makenna go! Back to your dorm, I'll see you tomorrow morning, Go!" I whisper yelled as she ran the opposite direction. I was hurrying down the hall, hoping the footsteps would fade but, they only got closer... and louder.
As I reached the door to the dungeons a voice came from behind me. " L/N, would you mind telling me why your out so late?" 'No,No,No' I spun around.
"Sorry professor, I was putting my books back in the library.. lost track of time." I said looking down at my feet.
"Detention, tomorrow 6pm. And Don't. Be. Late."
Professor Snape scoffed "Back to your Dormitory. Next time, you won't be so lucky L/N." And suddenly he was gone.
