chapter-17-who am I?

Adam 

"no..." I breath out. backing away from everyone.

"no?" he frowned at me and didn't move a inch. 

"that is not my tale.. what about my past life I died at 17  what about my family. I'm human..." I have to be human. I was real. I cant just be a made up item I had to be real. my chest felt like it was caving in. this. makes no sense. 

"yes that is true but your past does disappear just because you live a different life. " Adam said making me panic more. Hanna got up and started walking towards me. 

without thinking about it I took a step back. we both looked at each other shocked. "Adam ... I know this is all overwhelming,. but at the end of the day. you are the boy I know and love." I watched as her eyes started to water. "you are my best friend" she pulled me into a hug and couldn't help but squeeze her tighter. 

Adam stood up and was ready to speak again but in a blink of a eyes he was pressed against the wall with a hand around his throat. "give me one reason why i should kill you right now."

"Lilith ..." Adam choked out. Emma got up and ran over to us. "what a pleasant surpi-"

"shut up" I didn't know what to do but if she was here then that meant David had to be here. as if he could read my mind he walked in the room alongside Linda. I couldn't help but feel pain in my chest. he looked just as hurt as i felt. 

"Adam ..." he began. I shook my head. 

"if you knew why didn't you tell me. what could you possibly gain with keeping me in the dark. you know how lost I felt David. you know what it feels like to question your own existence? it hurts so much." tears streamed down my face. 

"Adam.. I didn't keep it from you to hurt you. I swear on my own life. I found out the first day I used you and that demon charged for you. only then was a sure I found you again. I cant lose you again. no matter the life time our connection will always be here. " he started walking towards me and Hanna stepped in front of me. David eyes went black. 

"he didn't say you could come near him" she whispered. he closed his eyes and took a deep breath in when he opened the they were back to normal. 

"you are right. i will respect your decision Adam." he took a step back where he was.

"i want you to explain everything. that is happening right now that i don't know about. " i said determined. he nodded and agreed right away. 

"not.... to ... interrupt but can someone control her please." Adam choked. Lilith smiled at him struggling. Linda jogged over to them and placed a hand on Lilith shoulder. 

"you can handle it later lets get the information we need out of him first." Linda smiled. Lilith grunted but dropped him to the floor. he fell on  his knees gasping. 

"fine but just know that I'm going to take my sweet time baby boy." she said slapping his face lightly when walking away to the couch. I shivered at the thought of what was coming for him. soon we all sat down in front of each other. David didn't take his eyes off me. he took a deep breath before his face turned serious.

" okay. to cover what is going on. In start the demons attacking angels. i believe the were looking for Adam at first but they know he is under my care. but the cases has continue meaning they are not going to stop. as long as he is by my side or in my care they chances of him succeeding is slim." 

I spoke next, "the stories are true then?"

David nodded again and Linda cleared her throat. "so they're going to be hurting people until they have him. but why the souls . there has been some cases where bodies were left behind. "

"souls hold power" David spoke harshly. "what the devil is doing is collecting that power. he cant do nothing with it right now but he needs Adam to activate it." 

Hanna leaned forwards and frowned. " so what is Adams 'power' exactly?" my power? I have never notice any power in my time alive. there wasn't anything special. 

"his power can only be used my someone else. there are different levels and effect. for example his powers towards a god could weaken his or her powers greatly. that why Zeus was so determined not to let anyone have kana." David spoke with passion. kana... honestly when I think about that name I feel like he's a totally different person. "his power could easily kill a human or anything less than a god." Hanna nodded. 

"is there a way of destroying what ever is inside of me" I whispered. David looked shocked and hurt for a second before cover his emotions again. 

"no... you are the weapon. destroying the weapon can not be done not even by a god." 

"what if I do it" I said glaring. his eyes filled by fury. 

"no. no Adam. I will respect you enough to not come near you until you are ready but do not filled your mind or say words such as those. I will not let anyone hurt you not even yourself. " he stood up and started to paste around the room. we all looked in between one another. his reaction proved that me destroying myself was possible. destroying the key... the key.. key. 

"David! I meant to ask you. back in your home there was a key I found a key. what was that to." I said walking towards him. his key narrowed. I felt some kind of pull towards it but I couldn't  describe it.

David 

I always hated his feeling a fear. Adam looked at me with desperation in his eyes. I couldn't tell him. no I was scared to tell him. that key was keeping the shattered pieces or kana's soul. I know his thought was going to places I wanted to shield him from. 

"well..." he spoke louder. I shook my head and said nothing. I don't know what could happen is all the pieces of his soul was destroyed. I knew he would leaving trying to fix everything himself. I could risk that. no I wouldn't risk that.
