Long ago leganeds spoke of two swords with unlimited power the holy sword Soul Calibur and curse sword Soul Edge. For years the two swrds were locked in a endless battle. Man fought against man to claim the power of the swords for their own gain. Some wanted the power to destroy the world and create it in their own image others. Villages, towns, city nothing was standing during the wars of the two swords. The curse sword was wielded by a almost unstoppable being know as nightmare who brought death and destruction apon the land. The armies of the land sent all their might against the creature but they were no match for the beast. Until a lone knight wielding the holy sword Soul Calibur stood against the curse sword. The two battle until the knight know as sreigfried vanquished Nightmare and perice his sword through the curse sword shattering it to pieces as the world was now at piece.

History became legend. Legend became myth as the tale of the two swords faded from peoples memories. Ventus was kneeling in front of am alter/ mass with a statue of god behind it  praying like he always does every time he goes to a new country this time he was praying to god in Latin.

"Pater noster, qui es in caelis,

 sanctificetur nomen tuum.

Adveniat regnum tuum.

Fiat voluntas tua,

sicut in caelo, et in terra.

Panem nostrum quotidianum da nobis hodie,

et dimitte nobis debita nostra,

sicut et nos dimittimus debitoribus nostris.Et ne nos inducas in tentationem,
sed libera nos a malo.
