"I think it's something that's so close, yet so far. It's something you can find with a little tweak of your thoughts, or the smallest things in life. It's something that's there, but it's hard to catch. Something that I always want, yet it isn't easy to get."

This was his definition of a happy life. You're free to imagine how you want it to turn out. Something that you can see from where you're standing, but you're certain that it would take you a long journey before you reach that destination.

Bin and Yejin just got home to his apartment after they went golfing together with some of their actor friends. They were both feeling tired, yet feeling delighted to have spent another day doing a recreational activity together.

Back in the year 2017, when the two co-actors turned close friends found out that they have a common interest: which is going to golf courses and spend the day under the sun, they have set schedules and meet to play together. To the present time, where they're now dating, they still find time to go on golf dates in between their busy schedules. It was one of the few moments they could spend their time outdoors as a couple since the golf courses were exclusive.

"Bin, you can go ahead and be the first to wash. I'll prepare dinner tonight." Yejin told him as soon as she laid her backpack on the side of his bedroom, near the closet.

He walked closer to her, held her head, and left a small kiss on top of her head "Okay." before he walked to the bathroom.

Over dinner, they've talked about their ongoing drama. They'll be traveling to Mongolia and Switzerland a few weeks from now and shoot some of their scenes in those countries. As always, they can't help but feel the excitement of going to farther places for work. It gave them a whole lot of motivation to work harder.

And since Yejin cooked their dinner, Bin volunteered that he will be doing the dishes. "You can go ahead to the bedroom, I know you're tired."

Yejin was laying down on his bed, happily exchanging messages with Cinderella 7 in their group chat. It was then until Bin went inside the bedroom, and laid beside her.

Yejin glanced at him and put her phone to the bedside table.

"Why? What's funny?" He asked her as he saw her laughing while looking at her phone just when he entered the room.

"Oh, that?" She laughed once more "Min Jung just shared about her son; he was trying to do everything she asks him to do, then when Joon-Ho has accomplished everything, he asked her if she can already buy him the toy he's been eyeing at the toy store." She was gleaming as she shared the story with him. "So cute!"

Bin wrapped his arms to her waist, Yejin adjusting as she buried her head to his chest. Sweet night cuddles. It was one of the littlest moments together that they appreciate most. It has always felt like home. Their bodies closed together, sharing warmth that accompanies body heat on a cold night.

"Yejin," He whispered as if there are not the only ones in 4 corners of his bedroom.

"Hmm?" She asked,

"Have you ever imagine yourself as an eomma already?"

She raised her head to look to him and slightly nodded on top of his chest. "Of course I do. I mean, I'm nearly in my 40s. Sometimes, I try to think about how my life could've turned out now if I already have a family of my own."

And the room was filled with silence, just the two of them and the comfort they share together. For them, it gave a calming feeling; like the one the sea gives, or for when one soaks in a good bubble bath, that no one; not even the furious storm or the biggest hit of the sea waves could disturb that little moment they share together.

"Yejin-ssi, you will be a great eomma to our children. I'm very much certain about that." He told her, as he brushed his fingers through her long straight hair.

She was then silenced, she felt stunned by the words he just said. It was the first time they actually talked about children. Their future children.

Sure they have talked bits and pieces of the future they foresee. But it was just about how they'll plan to live in this city and buy a home that overviews the city lights of Seoul. Or how they plan to go and travel parts of this world together: to Africa and be able to see different wild animals walking freely, or travel to Maldives, once more, and enjoy the enchanting and romantic vibes it brings. How about traveling to Iceland and be able to soak themselves in the boiling waters of Blue Lagoon, or maybe go back to Antibes in France, where they once indistinctly confessed their feelings to each other in the balconies of their hotel rooms.

But tonight, they try to discuss something bigger, something broader. A huge role they're both willing to take together.

"How can you be so sure?"

He stared at her, as he swim deep through her eyes. "Because I am."

"Don't you think I'm still not that mature to handle such?"

"Yejin, you're a good aunt to your nieces. You cook and prepare different delicious meals for me. You easily make everyone laugh and you're able to share your infectious laughter with the people around you. You take care of me, like all the time. You assure me that everything would turn out alright when I lose myself. You have always been dedicated to your works, and you do all your best to achieve and show the world your best. You're Cow Ye-Jin. And to all these reasons and more, do you still not think you won't be a great mother?"

She gave him her genuine smile. She never thought someone could already visualize her as a good mother. All her life she's been focused on her career as an actress, ensuring everything goes well, and that her projects would be remarkable to the audience. And indeed, it was. Sure, she's one of the most successful actresses in the industry. But she can never deny that there were countless times before that she felt incomplete.

Yejin at her age, witnessed her friends getting married, giving birth to their beautiful children, and has seen how their lives changed as they create families of their own. The thought amazes her. But at the same time, frightens her when she thinks that she's not yet ready to face a different kind of living and be able to accept the biggest role she'll ever take in her whole existence: to be a mother.

But right when she met him, and from close friends they became lovers, she's never felt that kind of happiness before. That somehow, she found a constant partner who will be willing to stay by her side, that when she gets home from a tiring shoot; there would be someone waiting for her and ask her how her day went, that someone endlessly listens to her sentiments; may it be deep ones or the littlest things she quickly thoughts about, someone who would push and support her to be the best version of herself, and most of all, someone who envisions a future with her.

"I'm now convinced. I think I might be if only you would be the father of my children." She told him as she removed her head in his chest, leaned to his face, and raised a brow at him. "What do you say about that?"

His eyes went down to her soft lips, and just like that, he too moved closer to her and claimed her lips for a quick kiss. "I'd love that."

The cuddles they share were not just about warmth, nor two people who just want to be lovey-dovey all over. Their warm embrace beside each other has brought hope; a hope for a brighter future, together. To live happily, and build a family. That there's nothing else to fear as long as they stay by each other's side, hand in hand, and conquer as one whatever the world brings for them.
