"Alright Jasmine.How was your week?"Dr.Jackson asked me

"It was good...pretty eventful actually."I said

"Tell me more."She said

"Travis popped up at my condo to apologize, I met a guy and I broke things off with Aubrey..again."I explained

"Okay let's break this down.We'll start with Travis.Did you accept his apology?"She asked

"No.I'm not ready to forgive him.I don't want him in my life right now."I said

She nodded."Forgiveness doesn't mean you have to invite him back into your life.You forgive for you.So that you can let the hurt and anger go."

"Okay.."I said

"You don't even have to call and say you forgive him.That is for you.Not him."She said

I nodded.

"Okay so meeting this new guy..how did that happen?How do you feel about that?"She asked

"I met him at a friend's gender reveal.He's her husband's cousin."I said

"Uhm..Im kind of nervous about it because I can't date anyone right now but he's a really nice guy."I added

"I don't like the word can't.You can.You have just made a choice not to.Second, building a friendship is fine.You can hang out with him.Allow yourself to have some company.That's totally okay and healthy.If you see things are getting to be too serious for you, then step away."She told me

I processed what she said and then responded.

"Okay..I guess I can do that."I nodded

Later on that day, I decided to call Marcus.

"Hello?"He said

"Hey Marcus.What you up to?"I asked

"I am at the record store right now."He said

"Oh..sorrry."I chuckled

"No you're fine.What's up?"He asked

"Uhm..I wanted to know if you were free to hang out or something this weekend?"I asked

"Y-Yeah definitely.What do you have in mind?"He asked

"Uh I didn't think that far.I don't really know what you're into."I chuckled

"Right..uh I was actually gonna go to this open mic night at this jazz bar I go to a lot...if you're into that-

"Definitely.That sounds fun."I said

"Well alright.It's tomorrow night at 9...I can pick you up if that's okay."He said

"I think I'll just drive."I told him

"Alright cool.I'll see you tomorrow."He said

"Okay.Byeee."I said

"Bye Jas."He chuckled

I smiled and I hung up.

I was excited to actually go out and just have a good time.It had been a while.

The next day

"Uh Ms.Davis?"Nyah knocked

"Yes?"I asked

She came in.

"You have a guest outside.Mr.Stewart."She said

"Send him in please."I told her

She nodded and walked outside.

James Stewart was my new business attorney.I asked him to look over my contract with OVO and see if I could get out of my deal any earlier.Oli told me he'd try to get me out but he never did.
