America really gives me comfortable whenever I'm sad.

This is my last week before I get married.

Married to someone I didn't know.

Marrying a totally stranger.

"What are you thinking?" Nabigla ako ng may lumapit na lalaki sa akin.

Tinaasan ko sya ng kilay.

"Who are you to ask me that? I don't even know you." Sabi ko dito.

Pero ngumiti lang sya.

"It's not important." Sabi nya.

Di naman siguro masama ang magpakilala right?

"Athena." Sabi ko dito at ngumiti.

"Then, what are thinking?" Tanong ulit nito.

"Random." Sabi ko.

"Like what?" Sabi nito. Ang kulit!

"Really? You're asking me even though you just know my name?" Sabi ko at mahinang natawa.

"Well I'm just being friendly here." Sabi nito.

"I am getting married..."

"To a stranger." Sabi ko at malungkot na ngumiti.

Parang nataranta pa sya at hindi makatingin sa mata.

"What are you doing?" Sabi ko.

"N-nothing."

"Then what can you say about that?" Dugtong nito.

"I wanna marry a man I know. The man I love." Sabi ko kaya napatitig sa akin ang lalaki.

"Then you still wanna marry him?" Tanong nito.

"I don't know." Sabi ko.

Natahimik kaming dalawa.

"Do you have boyfriend?" Tanong nito kaya nagulat ako.

"I don't have."

"Well, I am getting married too." Sabi nya kaya nagulat ako.

"To a stranger too?" Sabi nya pero umiling sya.

"The girl I've wanted before but I know that she doesn't love me even know me." Sabi nya.

"Whoa. It's like you're the man I'm going to marry huh." Pagbibiro ko.

Ngumiti lang sya.

"Can I ask?"

"Sure." Sagot ko.

"Can I be your boyfriend?" Tanong nya kaya napatawa ako.

"You're a joker." Sabi ko.

"I'm not joking. Just wanna make you try some things you never did in a relationship before you get married." Sabi nya kaya mangha akong napanganga.

"You're unbelievable." Sabi ko at napangiti.

"You wanna try?" Tanong nito.

"I like your idea..."

"Then let's give a try. Be my boyfriend for one week."

I smiled. Boyfriend to a stranger huh? Not bad.
