Chapter 26 - Light

Hikari POV

I watch Zuko train Aang vigorously, only for Aang to finally gets a hold of the melon juice he desperately wanted. Much to Zuko's displeasure, they decided to take a break. Which ultimately lead to having a beach party. Leaning against the rock with Ro, everything is peaceful until Zuko appears out of nowhere and begins to attack Aang. 

Watching as Zuko attacks and Aang dodges, I follow after them we find Zuko face first in the grass. Rushing to his side I help him up as Katara yells at him, "What's wrong with you! You could have hurt Aang!"

He gives her the look, "What's wrong with me? What's wrong with all of you? How can you sit around haven beach parties when Sozin's Comet is only three days away?!" 

He starts to calm down under there gazes, "Why are you all looking at me like I'm crazy?"

Aang speaks up, "About Sozin's comet, I was actually gonna wait to fight the Firelord until after it came."

Zuko and I look at him both a little confused, "After?"

"I'm not ready. I need more time to master Firebending."

Toph adds to it, "And frankly, your Earthbending could still use some work, too."

Zuko still baffled clarifies his words, "So, you all knew Aang was gonna wait?"

Sokka nods a bit, "Honestly if Aang tries to fight the Firelord right now, he's gonna lose. No offense."

Katara agrees, "The whole point of fighting the Fire Lord before the comet was to stop the Fire Nation from winning the war. But they pretty much won the war hen they took Ba Sing Se. Things can't get any worse."

I shake my head, "You're wrong. The Fire Lord and his army's Firebending with be stronger than ever before. They will have the power to wipe out nations, and the one standing in there way is the Earth Kingdom. Like the Air Nomads, the Earth Kingdom will cease to exist."

Everyone grows saddened by this news, Aang frowns, "What am I going to do?"

Zuko walks over to him, "I know you're scared and I know you're not ready to save the world. But if you don't defeat the Firelord before the comet comes, there won't be a world to save."

His eyes widen, he starts to panic, we quickly remind him that he's not alone. Agreeing on the matter, we join in a large group hug, with Ro, Appa, and Momo joining in. Katara and I watch as they continue to train, deciding to teach him to redirect lightning. 

When asking if he did it as well, Zuko proceeded to tell him of his journey in hiding, and how he got the opportunity when a storm passed.

Zuko looks down at him, "You have to take the Fire Lord's life before we take yours."

He looks away, "Yeah, I'll just do that."

Seeing his mixed feeling on the matter, I frown before leaving with Zuko and Ro. Later on around sunset, Sokka creates a simulation for what we need to do to take down the Melon Lord. At the end of the simulation, Aang couldn't deliver the final blow.

"I can't."

Sokka tries to see what's wrong, but Aang proceeds to feel uncertain and shocked as Sokka slices Melon Lord's head off. During dinner, I notice Aang a bit gloomy, only to expresses his discomfort for killing. How the Fire Lord is a human being and he shouldn't just die. He then suggests that he glues his arms together so that he doesn't have to bend anymore. 

This gives me an idea, knowing exactly who can help Aang, I just hope he lets Aang find him. He snaps at us, walking off to cool down. We continue to eat, once I'm done I tell the rest I have to use the restroom before disappearing into the dim-lit hallway.
