Prologue

"I raised you to be a fine lady, Clara. We gave you everything – your needs, your wants; and this is how you repay us? We didn't even complain with your almost failing grades in junior high school but isn't this too much? Receiving a call from the guidance office because our daughter had a catfight with one of her schoolmates!?", galit na galit na sabi ni Mommy at napatayo na naman mula sa pagkakaupo sa sofa.

"Mom, don't be so harsh on her. Her grades in junior high shouldn't be involved in this matter", Kuya Pancho tried to speak up for me but Mom only glared at her.

You always side with your sister that's why she thinks she's always right!", baling ni Mommy kay Kuya.

I looked at my brother and mouthed 'Sorry'. I'm the only one who's supposed to receive Mom's sermon but I dragged Kuya Pancho with me.

"She accused me of seducing her ex-boyfriend! Hindi ko naman nilandi si Kevin. They broke up and that was when I entered the scene – after they broke up. I am not the third party like what she accused me to be", I answered back.

"I told you to focus on your studies, Clara Priscilla!

She called me by my whole first name and that means she's really mad at me.

"Who's that Kevin guy?", bulong ni Kuya Pancho sa akin.

Shit. He didn't know that I got a new 'kalandian'.

Why must she take all the blame? You heard her explain her side. She didn't start the fight", pagtatanggol ulit sa akin ni Kuya Pancho.

We're in an open space when it happened but no one was there!

"Really? That's not what the witnesses stated inside the office. Whether it was you who started the fight or not, you should've not used any form of violence!".

Was it my fault that the bitches cornered me in a place where I am alone and no CCTVs are installed? No one was there aside from me, Lyka, and her three frogs. No one will prove that I was not the one who started it.

Mom's phone rang and she immediately went far from the living room to take the call. I stood up and went upstairs to go inside my room. My brother followed me from behind. Before I opened my room's door, he called me.
