Calliope curled her nose as I unpacked my fresh cinnamon roll. When she looked at it, her eyes crinkled and her lips pursed. I grinned at her expression and suppressed the urge to take her face between my hands and kiss her.

Man, I love when she does that.

"I will never understand how anyone can't like cinnamon."

Or coffee, for that matter.

Her lips pushed into a pout and her eyebrows pulled together. "Well, it's disgusting."

I snorted. "It's not. It might just be the mvp of spices." I dug into the roll and groaned as the taste of cinnamon exploded in my mouth.

Callie cocked her head and looked up at me through narrowed eyes. Her lips did that thing where they weren't sure whether they should lift up or turn down. The look she gave me when she thought I was silly. I laughed as a warm, fuzzy feeling pooled in my chest. It was during moments like these that I could hug the whole world.
