aight so this thing is apparently coming back but way less discreet like a bumch of dumbasses

blue whale challenge, some of us know it, some
of us don't.

for those of you who didn't get to the weird side of youtube in 2014 ish, basically the blue whale challenge is named after the suicidal blue whale. it's where a leader of some sort dms you on a social media site and asks if you want to play a game. if you say yes, you get put on either a dm list or a group chat where eveey day for around 30-50 days depending on the people, they give you challenges that get more and more difficult. it starts with watching videos, then to self harm, and then suicide in one way or another. they ask for proof each time. and if you don't comply, they dox you, or threaten to hurt your family.

now they're kinda cultic, so it's easier to spot them out. they'll typically have at least two of four things:
- johnathan gallindo in their username
- 666 in their username or bio
- a creepy Mickey mouse pfp
- a whale emoji in their bio

don't reply to dms from these people. just ignore them

don't block them either, that makes it easier for them to get your ip address so they can find the general location of your wifi router and shut down your wifi when they want.

from past info from 2013-2014, they go for people who have posted suicidal things in the past as easier "prey."

i have not seen these accounts on wattpad yet, however they are on insta and tiktok from what i've seen
