i think my dad knows abt my 🏳️‍🌈

so uh y'all know my gay af lockscreen with two girls kissing and a rainbow flag and a quote about being closeted

my dad needed my phone for the flashlight, right, so he takes it and turns it on

the fucking girls kissing and big ass rainbow flag there doesn't faze him (the quote was covered by a notification)

he asks how to get to the flashlight and i show it to him

and keep in mind my parents aren't the type to keep things to themselves. if they see something out of the ordinary, they WILL point it out.

so either my dad has already seen the lock screen and been knew, or he was just really damn focused on the flashlight

i deadass thought i was gonna have to come out to him on the fucking spot, my lifr flashed before my eyes and i tried to remember everything i've learned and he DOESN'T EVEN QUESTION IT

i'm incredibly relieved he didn't question it but now i'm wondering if he actually knows...

if he does know, it won't be a surprise when i come out to them and it'll be less hard on them and me, since he'll probably tell me momlike the gossipy person he is

if he doesn't, i'm probably gonna say some dumb shit like "i thought you already knew" and my parents are gonna go off

if he's in between, he'll probably discuss with my mom and she'll convince herself i'm not bc she doesn't wanna believe it and they'll be disappointed when i come out

so uh probably a not commonly asked question here, but how do i tell if my parents know i'm gay/bi?
