"Ok, so what was your question?" Beth asked. Once the two shook their hands for the deal. "Who my first crush was right?" "That is correct." Luke could see a bit of uncertainty in Beth's features. Which had Luke curious the reason she wouldn't say who her crush was, was perhaps because she maybe liked him longer than he realized. He shouldn't be all that surprised though. Since they were neighbors. His dad also had volunteered to watch her at times. When they were younger. When Melanie went and did whatever it was Melanie did. Back in the days. Which also had Luke believing he knew the answer to his earlier question. When he asked if she'd be jealous if another girl in the class would've picked him as their partner for the Science project.

"I would've thought that'd be obvious." Beth commented. A tint of blush appearing on her cheeks again. Luke had to hide a smirk, noticing the blush on Beth's cheeks. His guess was correct. "Does that count as answering?" Beth asked. Luke chuckled. "I guess I'll let you have that one. Alright, you're up." Beth tilted her head, pretending to look like she was thinking of a question. Deciding to go with a similar theme of what Luke's question was. "If you could star in a movie, what movie would you star in?" She asked. Having a feeling she knew the answer. "The Karate Kid.. I think it'd be cool to learn some of the martial arts stuff." Luke commented. Looking amused at Beth's shocked expression on her face. Watching her jaw drop a bit. "I bet you thought I'd say Fast and the Furious." He teased. Beth laughed. "Well, let me put it this way. If I'd bet against someone on that question, it would've been the quickest way ever that I lost fifty bucks." Luke laughed.

"Alright, you're up." Beth commented. "Hmm.. I guess I can return the question back to you. What movie would you star in if you could?" "Mama Mia. I think it'd be fun to be in a musical. The actors and actresses look like they had fun filming it." Beth explained. "Round two. Go." She grinned. "Are we going to keep track of whose answers are the best?" Luke suggested, slightly teasing. Beth raised an eye. "What does the person get if they win?" She asked. Luke sat in silence a moment trying to guess. Surprised Beth was going with all the new rules. Instead of reprimanding them. And thinking he was making up too many. "The winner is the one who picks what we do on our next date?" Beth pretended to look thoughtful for a moment on whether or not she should agree. "Deal. You start round two. I went first last time. We'll alternate rounds."

Luke kept his eyes on Beth looking amused. "Aren't you the creative one thinking of all sorts of things." Luke winked, letting Beth know he was kidding around. Beth laughed. "You're the one who's coming up with all sorts of crazy rules for adding twists in the game." She joked back.

The two continued on, actually enjoying one another's company. Forgetting for a while at least what was really going on. It helped for once they didn't keep continuing to drag the conversations over to Garrett. They could actually be teens hanging out, having fun. And pretend like they didn't have any troubles in the world.

Luke laughed at Beth's comment. Realizing this was the most fun he'd had in a while. And he hoped Beth was enjoying herself in return. Just as much as he was. As Luke stared at Beth while they continued the small banter back and forth. He noticed a few times a sparkle in Beth's eyes. Which he assumed meant she was enjoying herself as well. It was something Luke hadn't seen in her in a while. Not since before the whole situation with Garrett started.

"I guess we both happen to be in the creative mood then. Who's turn is it?" He asked. "Your turn." Luke took a deep breath, once again trying to think of another question. "What is one place you've always wanted to go?" Beth raised an eye at his question. Wondering if some of the questions he was asking. Were some he was trying to gain some information on. Just in case one day.

She only turned sixteen and Luke is now almost seventeen. So Beth wasn't sure if they'd last as a couple or not. But she hoped if they didn't. They could at least stay remained as friends. Because Luke was her only friend besides James. And they came as a package being best friends. So Beth felt if she and Luke didn't work. And went separate ways. She'd also lose James. Beth shook her head. Clearing those thoughts from her mind. Not wanting to ruin the moment. They were having such a great time. And for a minute. Beth almost forgot they were even back home in her backyard in her treehouse. And for those few moments. They were acting like the only two people in the world.
