Chapter 7, Walking Len home

I still couldn't believe what had happened.
Why would my brother do that? Was he hurting that much from mothers death?

And Luka was cheering him on.
Luka was normally kind! Why had she wanted to see Len hurt?

And now Rin was here...

I knew her from school, once she had come up to me and we had talked, she had seemed nice, I thought we were friends.

But she had apparently forgotten about me.
Not that it bothered me, I was a extremely boring girl.

But, she looked a lot like Len I noticed.

I looked up at them to find them looking at me questioningly.
Oh no, had they asked me something?

"Uhh, what?" I said, getting slightly embarrassed.

Rin laughed. "what's your favorite food?" She asked. "Mines oranges, his is bananas"

"Oh, umm... I like leek soup" I said.

"Cool!" Len said, smiling at me.

I still didn't know how he could smile...

He looked ahead.
"Oh, there's my house!" He said pointing at a nice blue house.

"Ooh! Pretty!" Rin exclaimed.

I just looked at it sadly. "So, I guess you're gonna go inside now?" I said. Why was I sad? He'd be able to rest... But, I didn't know if I'd see him again...

He seemed to notice that I was sad.
"What's wrong?" He asked kindly.

I shook my head. "Nothing, good bye! Hope you feel better soon!" I said, waving and turning to leave.

"Yeah, bye Len! Cya around!" Rin said as she also turned to leave.

I wanted to look back, but I felt like I shouldn't.

I went back to the store and bought the groceries I needed, then went home and started dinner.
