Will something be different?
It won't be something like that
But this day will be over
When the minute and second hands overlap
The world holds its breath for a little while
Zero O'Clock
_______________________"Otou-san? Why are you here?" Sumire asked once she woke up on her supposed room in their house in Japan, her voice were hoarse and she could feel her whole body tingles with pain. She attempted to sit up in confusion of the pain and the place she's in but the moment she tried to use her hand to lean up, she collapsed back on the bed with a soft thud.
Her father who have been tensely reading a book in attempt to distract himself from worry for the members of his family, immediately shot up from his chair beside his daughter's bed and approach her to help her position better.
"You shouldn't try to move your body for now. It took quite some blows." Kudo Yusaku stated with his voice clearly shaking in worry before pressing his lips on the brunette's forehead, taking her hands in his to caress her rope-bruised wrists. Sumire flinched a bit in pain at the gesture but she tried to suppress her gasp as soon as she saw the pained expression on her father's features. It almost looked like her father is blaming himself for whatever happened to her but why can't she recall anything?
"What do you mean? Why am I on Japan? Isn't my flight supposed to be today?" Sumire questioned, causing her father to burst into tears as he blamed himself for sending her away to talk about his nervousness about his wife's labor to Professor Agasa yesterday.
The brunette frowned at the sight, her mind confused more than ever but needing no words to immediately embrace her father when she noticed how hard her normally composed father is weeping right infront of her in seemingly pain and regret.
She however, felt more baffled when she released from the hug to turn to look at the door of her room that creaked open. There stood her beautiful mother with what appeared to be a baby wrapped in a blanket on her arms.
"She doesn't remember anything that happened yesterday." Sumire heard her father whispered to the brunette who she share most of her features with. And with those words being said, Kudo Yukiko passed their newborn son to her husband before rushing to bring her daughter in a tight embrace as tears flowed down her eyes. Yukiko knew better than to ask Sumire if she's okay as it's more than obvious that she's not just by looking at her.
"I-Is that my brother?" Sumire uttered out with slight pain obvious on her voice as her mother pulled away from the hug. Yusaku handed the baby back to Yukiko, who sat on the side of Sumire's bed.
"Yes, his name is Kudo Shinichi. He's your baby brother." Yukiko smiled at Sumire before looking down on the sleeping baby on her arms, showing him to Sumire who stared in amazement despite her physical pain. The younger brunette reached out and caress the cheeks of the baby on her mother's loving arms with her parent's heart breaking at how Sumire couldn't even remember a thing yet her body clearly shown what happened to her. Her body is full of bruises and wounds while a long but thin cut from what seemed to be a small blade present on the side of her neck.
"He got Otou-san's hair color." Sumire smiled at her parents as Shinichi gripped on her fingers, chuckling a bit when the raven haired baby started to stir awake.
"Can I call him Shin-chan, Oka-san?" The younger brunette asked, looking up to her parents in anticipation with a carefree smile that Sumire barely shows plastered on her face. The couple smiled at each other before sending their little angel a nod.
