The world seemed to spin once Sumire step into their house, finally letting her tiredness took over. Her legs gave out, having her collapse on her knees even before Rei and Kaito could attempt to try to soften her sudden fall.

Sumire let out a yelp in pain as she attempts to bring herself up on her feet, only to fall back down.

Kudo Yusaku and Yukiko immediately rushed to their daughter's side with Shuichi and Jodie closely behind, noticing a lot of tiny wounds caused by debris and a few burns that could thankfully heal without leaving a lot of scars on her skin.

"Oh no! Sumi, don't fall asleep!" Jodie exclaimed in panic to her co-worker, engulfing the other woman in an embrace to try to prevent her from actually lying down on the floor as the brunette's parents tried to talk to their daughter in attempt to have her wide awake.

"She'll most likely not remember anything if she pass out. Experience comes with a whole bunch of trauma." Shuichi stated when he noticed the look of confusion plastered on the NPA officer's face before he took Kaito into the living room, who was leaning on Rei for support to have him sit down on the sofa.

The brunette on Jodie's lap glanced at Shuichi as if cursing him on her mind for revealing such thing before she lose complete control of her body and just shut down her eyes in defeat, falling asleep at last.

Rei hesitantly stood right there awkwardly not knowing what to do as he watch Sumire's parents and her co-worker try to attend to her when the door leading to the living room where Akai Shuichi and Kuroba Kaito disappered to opened to reveal the shrunkened highschool detective, a look of disbelief written all over his face with his eyes glued directly to his older sister.

Suddenly the youngest of the Kudos' cobalt blue eyes met Rei's light blue ones, uncertainty and distrust filling them as if Shinichi insisted on believing that this is the older male's fault even if he knew he isn't the one to blame.

The shrunkened detective took a deep breathe before asking his sister's former suitor aftering leading him to the living room.

"What happened?" Shinichi questioned with his voice becoming much deeper despite his shrunkened form as he glared daggers towards the floor. Rei clenched his fists together as he recalls the events from earlier.

"The organization... They saw through Kaitou Kid's trick and managed to track down his escape plan. Sumire's car was bombed to pieces just seconds after I warned and tried to get both Sumire and Kuroba-san away from her car towards mine." Rei briefly explained what have happened, rubbing his eyes in frustration as he leaned his back to the wall near the door. Even when the thought of how every single Federal agents residing right at the same place he currently is in, he didn't tried to burst through every room on the mansion to confront them as he couldn't just shrug off the moments just minutes ago of the the state of vulnerableness the woman he learned to love.

Conan's eyes widened at the information that was just delivered, his gaze somehow worrying the blonde NPA's agent.

"Her car is registered under her--" The seemingly first grade kid tried to explain to who he knew as Amuro Tooru, only to be interrupted.

"I don't think they care enough to even look at the plate number. There's no way they'll manage to just find out where Kaitou Kid's getaway ride is. They rely on luck and hope for the chain effect... Though they might've saw her general appearance..." Rei uttered out, glancing at the stairs in worry for the brunette. Then, he felt a mild vibration from his phone in the inner chest pocket of the blazer he have on. He pulled it out and frown at the words indicated in the message...

It's Rum...

"They didn't expect two agents with the infamous phantom thief." Conan pointed out once he managed to get out of his trance, causing Rei to snap out of his as well. The two stared at each other, one of which blankly while the other is uncertainty.
