A bluish raven haired male stared in disbelief to the brunette who is leaning against the hood of her red Corvette, being geniunely surprised at the words she just muttered out. Sumire just sighed before averting her eyes towards Arthur to calculate his expression but realized she wouldn't need to as the male is openly showing his feelings.
The two are currently on a secluded road under a bridge on broad daylight, having a deep conversation with one another after they finished a quick and easy job together. Arthur stood there with a black fancy suit while Sumire is dressed with; a black long sleeve off shoulder top paired with a red leather skirt.
"How long have you known?" Arthur questioned in the language the both of them are more experienced in as it is their first language, his usual cheerfulness and playful grin long gone since the very start of their discussion. His deep blue eyes glaring into Sumire's as if trying to cease her very existance, causing the brunette to avert her eyes away before replying.
"Ever since you came... Kai always used to talked about his little brother. I managed to figure it out based on your brother's description of you." Sumire replied, spitting out answers as honest as she could while filtering her words at the same time.
"...You have no idea how much I despise you. When I reached that abandoned mall building where the raid broke out, I saw you just watch there as my brother fell off the building from the rooftop." The half Japanese agent spatted out with such venom lingering on his tone, shoving his hand into his inner chest pocket to fish out something.
"How come you let him die?" He bitterly questioned, pointing a revolver towards her. Sumire just stared straight into his eyes, not even flinching a bit at how a gun is pointed right towards her head.
"The casualties from both sides aren't even that bad but my brother suffered more than just mere wounds."
"Arthur, you also have to think of all the other people who lose their lives during that raid. Your brother fell because--" Sumire retaliated before cutting herself off as she couldn't let him bear the guilt of being the actual reason why his older brother couldn't appear in public now that he's 'dead'. At least until the organization is destroyed, she would want to keep it from Arthur to be able for Kai to be seen for his safety.
"Because of what? Because you didn't help him?" He continued to taunt the female agent until Sumire's earpiece suddenly received a call from their superior. Sumire pressed on the silver band wrapped on her right ring finger to answer the call, easily switching to English to Japanese.
"Yes? We'll be there right away." She answered with authority back on her voice, looking over at Arthur who finally lower his gun before ending the call.
"You really think I'll go with you still?" Arthur scoffed, causing the brunette to glare at him for his statememt.
"You pledged to serve our organization and the country it serves to. I know you have the power to atleast say true to your vows as a public servant." She strongly stated as she entered her car, her voice failing her a bit as it noticeably falter towards the end when she spoke of the Federal Bureau as she is at the moment avoiding some of her co-workers as though wanting to have some time to herself.
Arthur scowled before following the female after stuffing his gun back to his blazer's inner pocket, sitting on the passenger seat. The two drove towards the Blue Parrot bar, silence engulfing the two.
"You need me?" Sumire asked as soon as she pushed the door open, not sparing a moment once work got involved in the discussion once again. Daring to look at her superior, she noticed a raven haired female beside James.
