Aizawa Shota's POV

Shota sat on the seat in front of his lacquered oak desk. Rubbing his forefingers against his temples in an effort to shake his impending migraine, he took his time before looking back up.

Shota's dark eyes met the honest emerald ones in front of him, and his hands laced together in front of his mouth, elbows resting on the table.

His face remained tiredly disbelieving as it always was, but behind that facade Shota's mind was hard at work. He sorted through his thoughts as soon as they came to his notice, pushing the more irrelevant questions to the side and mulling over the important ones.

Eventually Shota came to a decision. He'd believe what he'd been told, until evidence proved otherwise or Present Mic jumped out from behind some furniture and yelled 'prank.'

As they say, innocent until proven guilty.

Looking for a final confirmation, Shota stared at the face of his student, seated in front of him. He searched Midoriya's deep pine green eyes, but found nothing other than unending nervousness.

It wasn't the kind of stressed dishonesty he often noticed in people telling lies, but rather a straightforward apprehension. The boy was scared, scared and confused.

And from the way he wrung his hands together tensely in his lap, he wanted answers as well. Just as bad as, or possibly even more so, than Shota himself.

Heaving a deep sigh, Shota at last spoke up.

"So Midoriya."

Shota's student's head shot up, slightly widened eyes meeting his own drowsy ones.

"In short, you have so far told us this;
The Villain known as 'Ground Zero,' who is currently a part of our YVR, but was previously a member of the League, is a childhood friend of yours."

Midoriya mumbled his affirmation as he nodded his head vigorously, lowering his eyes to the floor in discomfort.

"And that this friend was announced missing from his home on..." Shota checked the files stacked in front of him.

"The twentieth of April, eleven years ago. And who, after a full year of the authorities searching for him, was pronounced as dead."

Again the boy lowered his head, rubbing the back of his neck but keeping his focus on his teacher.

"Who just so happens to go by the name of 'Bakugou Katsuki,' the sole son of a prestigious family who specialise in the completely respectable and non-violently inclined area of fashion designing."

At this, Midoriya started waving his hands around in a frantic manner.

"O-Oh that's not what I meant, both Auntie Mitsuki and Uncle Masaru are really nice! M-Most of the time...And I'm n-not trying to throw them under the bus either! I d-don't think they are to blame a-at all!"

His face sunk with sorrow.

"They were as heartbroken as the rest of us when Kacchan went missing. They mourned with me and my mum personally, so I'd know."

Aizawa nodded his head slowly.

"Us Pro's aren't pointing the blame at Ground Zero's supposed parents, if that's what you're worried about."
