Chapter 5

Naira went to the college to collect her costume, it was a bollywood themed party! As she was walking, a hand pulled her into an empty classroom and closed the door behind him

"You? What are you doing? Leave my hand!" Naira said loosening the grip from his hand

"Naira, tomorrow is fresher's party, and you have to dance with me! You will be my partner only." He said

"No, Kunal! I am not going to be anyone's partner, you better understand that! And why are you even forcing me?" Naira said

"Because I love you!" Kunal said making Naira shocked

Without thinking anything, Naira slapped him hardly

"Shut up! Just because you are my friend, you can't say anything, what you want to!"

"If you don't agree to me, then you will regret it Naira!"

"What will you do huh? You are no one to me! You understand?" Naira said angrily.

"I will expose you! I know you are married, no one knows that in this college, if you don't agree to what I say, I will spread the news about your marriage like wildfire! You get it?" Kunal said making Naira shocked

Naira didn't know what to do, she didn't want anyone to know about her and Kartik's marriage, he was his professor, and she was the student, that's all! Nothing more. But because of Kunal's threatens, she had to agree to become his dance partner.

They both went to the dance room and started practising, all this was seen by Kartik, he was fuming in anger

"Naira, how dare you dance with him? Who is Kunal to you?" Kartik thought but realised soon

"What are you doing Kartik? Why do you care? She is nothing to you, other than a student, when she moved on, then why can't you? And why are you getting jealous? Forget it!" Kartik said to himself

Kunal was clearly enjoying Naira's company and dancing with her! Naira was so insecure, she didn't want to do that especially in front of Kartik

"Kartik! I am really sorry. Our misunderstandings are just increasing, and my chances of explaining you...... I am just losing every chance! I want to say you everything, I want to explain everything, but these situations, are making things worse for us!" Naira thought to herself as tears fell down

Kunal, wiped her tears with his hands and Naira moved her face away

"Why are you crying love? Tears don't suit you dear!" Kunal said making Naira even more angry

She pushed Kunal and went from there

"You are only mine, Naira! Only mine!" Kunal said as Naira left

On the other hand, Naira was crying continuously, and as she was walking, she bumped into someone, but his strong arms caught her from falling, it was none other than Kartik

"Why is my Naira crying? What happened to her? Did someone hurt her? I can't see my sherni like this! But wait, why do I care? She never cared about me and my feelings, if she would care, she wouldn't leave me and go!" Kartik thought to himself, and made Naira stand back

They both shared a look, a lot of confusions and misunderstandings were there between them! They still didn't understand if they love each other or not.

Naira moved away and went from there.

"Naira what happened, why are you crying?" Tanvi asked shocked

"Umm,nothing happened! Let's go to get the costumes."

"Okay come!" Tanvi said

They both go and get the costumes, and go home

"Naira came! Come in beta." Kaveri said

"How was your day?" Keerti asked taking her inside

"Umm, fine!"

"Naira, can I ask you something?"

"Haan, bhabi, ask?"

"Why didn't you say us, that Kartik is your professor? And that's why you wanted to leave the college!" Keerti said making Naira shocked

"How....did....you....get.....to....know?" Naira asked in a scared tone

"I knew that from before itself, and also papa saw Kartik in the college, that day, when he came to drop you!"

"What? That's why his health was affected?"

"Yes, see Naira, you need to face the reality! And by the way, you joined this college for your career, and so, you should continue! I know it's very difficult for you, but you can do it!" Keerti explained

"Yes bhabi, I am not going to leave that college, don't worry!"

"Did you guys speak?"

"Not yet! I don't know what will happen now!"

"Whatever happens, is for a reason! So don't worry now." Naira nodded and went from there

"Today, my mood got so bad after meeting Kunal! How can he do this to me? I never loved anyone other than Kartik, and I never will. But now I am scared if Kartik sees me and Kunal together, there will be more misunderstandings between us. Kunal was just a friend to me, and nothing more, but today after what happened, I will never even accept him as my friend! I wish I could clear the misunderstandings between me and Kartik!" Naira wrote in her diary as tears rolled down her eyes.

"Kartik beta, today at night we are going to Mandir, will you drop us?" Suvarna asked

"Okay Maa, but I have fresher's party today, I said you right!"

"Okay Kartik, you go, we will go with Manish or Akhilesh." Suvarna said

Both the sides, Naira and Kartik were getting dressed up as their roles, for the bollywood themed, Fresher's Party.
