Everyone was sleeping and it was almost 12 at midnight

"Kartik let's go to Kaira's room, it's almost 12!" Naira said

"She might be sleeping na." Kartik said

"No, I am sure she is awake!" Naira said smiling

"Then let's see, come slowly." Kartik said helping Naira get down the bed

As they reached her room, they saw the rest of the family standing there already

"Aap sab yahan?" Naira asked

"Yeah, we came to wish Kaira." Suvarna said slowly

"Come let's see if she is awake! Or else, we will wish her tomorrow." Kartik said and opened the door slowly and saw Kaira pretending to sleep

"Such a drama queen she is na! I am sure she is pretending!" Naira whispered

"Oh no! Kaira is sleeping, let's wish her tomorrow only then!" Kartik said a bit loudly as they knew Kaira is pretending, and they all turned to go

"No wait! I am awake only!" Kaira got up

"Accha ji! That means you were pretending as if you are sleeping, hai na?" Naira asked

"Yes mama! I knew that you all will come to wish me, that's why!" Kaira said smiling

"Kartik, it's 12!" Manish whispered

"Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday to dear Kaira! They all sang

"Happy birthday my sweetheart, may you live long and always happy!" Naira said kissing her forehead

"Happy birthday princess! Always keep that beautiful smile on your smile." Kartik said hugging her

All the other family members also wished her

"You don't want your gifts Kaira?" Suvarna asked smiling

"I do!" She replied

"Oh no! I forgot to get your gift." Naira and Kartik said together

"It's okay mama and papa! You both are a gift to me, I love you both so much!" Kaira said smiling

"You are our life's beautiful gift princess!" Kartik said

"Yes!! And how can we forget to get your gift, we were just joking! Take, here is your gift!" Naira said handing over her gifts to her

"It's really late, so we all should sleep now!" Dadi said

"Yeah, princess you also sleep!" Naira said

"Good night Princess!" Kartik and Naira said together, and kissed her cheek from either side

Everyone went and slept

The next day

Everyone was moving here and there doing all the decorations and other preparations for the birthday party

"Even I want to go down! But this mendak, has made me sit in this room, and I am so bored here!" Naira said getting irritated

Till then Kartik entered the room to take some things

"Naira, you are taking rest na!" Kartik said as he was looking for some papers

"Yeah yeah! I am taking full rest! Sitting in this boring room, with no one around, and nothing to do!" Naira said angrily

"Just some more time Naira! Then the party will start, and you can come down, but only for cake cutting!" Kartik said

"No no, why are you calling me for that also? I will stay here only na! You all only enjoy the party, cut the cake and eat it! Don't call me, for that as well!" Naira said sarcastically

"Oh yeah, that's a good idea!" Kartik joked making Naira angry

"What did you say? Huh?" Naira asked angrily

"I was just joking! You take rest." Kartik said

"How much more? From morning, that's what I am doing na!" Naira said

"I know, but all the work is done! Nothing is left."

"Wait! I know what I can do!" Naira said

"What?"

"I can wrap these gifts! That way I won't get bored as well!" Naira said picking up the gifts

"Naira, you are not doing any work I said na!"

"Kartik, I am just going to sit in one place and wrap these gifts, and that's not going to make me tired na!" Naira said

"Okay fine! But after that, you are not doing anything else." Kartik said

"Okay I won't!" Naira said wrapping the gifts

In some time the party started, and all the guests arrived

"Kartik, all the guests have come, and are asking for Naira! Get her down beta." Suvarna said slowly

"Maa, I just checked and came! Naira is sleeping, I don't want to disturb her. Once she gets up, I will get her down!" Kartik said

"Okay beta!" Suvarna said and went from there

"Papa, where is mama? Aren't we going to cut the cake now?" Kaira asked

"We will princess! You go and play till then, mama will also get up!" Kartik said smiling

As he turned towards the stairs, he saw Naira standing there

"Naira? What are you doing here? You were sleeping na?" Kartik asked

"Do you think I was sleeping? I wanted to attend the party, and meet everyone but you weren't letting me do that, so I was just lying down!" Naira said

"Oh sorry! Now you came na, let's do the cake cutting then!" Kartik said

"Yes, come on!"

"By the way, you look really cute today!" Kartik said

"What? Again cute?" Naira said angrily

"No no, I mean, beautiful! You look beautiful!" Kartik said with a smile

"That's better! Come now!" Naira replied

"Let's cut the cake, come Kaira!" Kartik called out

They all cut the cake, danced and enjoyed the day fully

Naira was sitting in her room and Kartik entered

"Ahh I am so tired!" Kartik said entering

"Oh hello, where are you coming?" Naira said looking at him

"What? I am really tired Naira, I want to sleep!" Kartik said coming near the bed

"You are not sleeping here! Go and sleep with your princess!" Naira said shocking Kartik

"What? Why?" He asked

"I said na! You are not sleeping here. You are very bad, I don't like you! Full day you all enjoyed dancing and all, and called me only for cake cutting!" Naira said angrily

"You also saw everyone dance na! You did enjoy right?" Kartik said

"I also wanted to enjoy dancing! But you! I don't want to talk to you." Naira said

"Sorry Naira! Next time pakka we will enjoy!" Kartik said making a pout face

"Don't make such faces! Next time you are not going to stop me, okay?" Naira said

"Okay fine!" Kartik said smiling
