(Y/n) opened her eyes, being greeted by reality. A cruel thing really. It always reminded her that she's alone, without any family members.

She was gonna stand up but a little puppy stopped her from doing so. She looked at her right to see Axel wrapped his arms around hers. It was an adorable sight but she didn't had the mood.

(Y/n) carefully removed Axel to not hurt him. She then walked towards the shoji, slowly opening and closing it to avoid any loud noises.

She wandered around the hallway, her daily midnight stroll. Just like what she always did when she's awake in the night. She stopped when she arrived at the garden.

Kanao was there, sitting on the engawa. They both made eye contact. For a whole minute, no one said a word.

That's when (Y/n) decided to sat beside Kanao, 5 feet apart cause their not gay-

"What are you doing here this late?" (Y/n) asked, side glancing Kanao.

Kanao didn't replied at first as she flipped the coin and it landed on the back of her hand. She then raised her arm and started connecting lines.

(Y/n) looked at what Kanao was doing and knew she was lining the stars. "It's beautiful huh?"

Kanao flipped her coin again. She nodded with a small smile.

"Do you usually do this?"

*flip*

"Not really."

"What made you wanted to go outside?"

*flip*

Kanao shrugged.

(Y/n) looked at Kanao. "Wanna tell me why you keep flipping that coin? Cause it's actually getting annoying," She said.

Again, Kanao flipped the coin. She looked up at the night sky. "I'm usually unable to make decisions by myself. In order to help me, my adoptive big sister gave me a coin to flip to decide when I didn't know what to do..."

(Y/n) just blinked. "That's some dumb shit you doing." She replied, startling Kanao a little.

"I mean, don't get me wrong.." She said, standing up. "Yes, we humans sometimes are indecisive. But at those times..."

"Is the right time to listen to your heart."

Kanao tilted her head slightly. "listen... to my heart...?" She muttered.

(Y/n) lightly scoffed. "Hey. Just because the heart is on the left side, doesn't mean it's not right. But.. It's your decision, not mine." She said and yawned.

"Oh well, this is your spot. My turn to find a spot of my own. Keep in mind of what I said, alright?" She walked away, leaving Kanao alone in thought.

Kanao then looked at the ground. "my heart... my own... decision..." She muttered, clenching the cloth where her heart is.

"My decision..."

(Y/n) found herself wondering to the roof, again. She sat down on it as she hugged her knees.
