Starley's POV

/ edited /

"You guys wait here, I'll be back with the food in the few minutes." Aria announced with a chirp added to her tone, while getting up from her seat and leaving us completely alone in the cafeteria table, and commence the stupid awkward silence.

Bad move Ari, it became so awkward.

Why did you leave me alone here with two dangerous people?!

I better not end with a shot leg during lunch.

I have cardio today.

After shifting uncomfortably on my spot, I was able to see that on one side, Brandon and Davien were sitting with threatening glares always on point to intimidate anyone on the spot, honestly referring that the green eyed man looked more scarier than how we met before and I don't fucking know how, while me and Belle were sitting across from them.

Belle continued to stare down at Brandon, and Brandon was busy glaring at me and I don't know why either, Davien was busy on his phone and didn't give a fuck, and I just looked at my lap sheepishly while fidgeting with my fingers.

"Starley, if you tell a single soul about what you saw, I won't hesitate to do something about it." Brandon spat in a very low tone that had made my toes curl in fright, which also made me quiver my lips silently before I bit them to conceal my shook figure.

Okay yeah, I was wrong, he's definitely the evil twin.

"If you hurt her in any possible way Branny, I will myself teach you a lesson. And I know you know it that would be a fight that you won't win at all." Belle growled back, immediately defending me, while I silently thanked her at the back of my mind.

"Not my fucking problem, if she doesn't shut up, I'll make her do it." Brandon snarled.

So God, thanks for letting me visit. Please save me.

"Shut up Bran, that's enough." Davien intervened suddenly with a calm tone that seemed equally lethal, making me lift my head a little and find him scowling again his supposed best friend, making Brandon look at him with widened and shocked eyes, but rolled them right after a few seconds and huffed with his lips.

I silently saw him shifting his profound gaze land straight at me without trying to hide it, but I just decided to look away because it was too intense for me to comprehend with. I would normally never be discouraged to continue eye contact in a friendly manner, it was welcoming, but there was just one fact that bothered me.

To explain it in simpler words, if I've gathered anything from what has happened ever since we both left that bathroom, is that Belle had a very serious discussion with them, and they haven't left our sides since then. Davien wouldn't utter a word to me and kept a good distance for my sanity, Brandon refuted in threatening me more which he planned to do, and I was just paranoid.

Okay, I know I shouldn't be paranoid for no reason if these very two same men had aided me when there was a potential chance of me being endangered, but it's not like you see a guy carrying a gun everyday now do you? Not to mention, both of them had a secret knife under their sleeve.
