Catori

I woke up to Tutankhamun not next to me as I slowly registered the sounds around me; pins banging accompanied by fighting noises “Same ol mornings” I chuckled getting up and bathe wearing casual then going downstairs

“boys, no training in my kitchen” I scold coming in the kitchen finding Tutankhamun teaching Kaizer how sword fighting with kitchen pins “correction my love, I am making breakfast while teaching Kaizer the arts of sword fighting” Tutankhamun says boldly, I raised an eyebrow “with...pins?” I ask mockingly “it's like wooden swords” he shrugs and we chuckle

We leaned in and gave each other pecks thus resulting to “not in front of me!” Kaizer says closing his eyes making us chuckle; “did you sleep well?” Tutankhamun asks “like a baby, did you?” I smiled “Surprisingly well after bringing Ankhe and the twins” he smiles “hey! Why isn't anyone asking how I slept?” whines Kaizer

“Sorry my little prince, how did you sleep?” I ask “I slept really really really really really really REALLY WELL!” we chuckled “okay, what are we making here?” I ask rolling up my sleeves.

“The morning meals we used to have in Egypt; roast duck meal along with some fresh organic fruits, different varieties of salads and some white wine!” Tutankhamun spoke raising his hands with a frying pans and pin making it look like important announcement as Kaizer and I snickered “Love, why don't we just stick with waffles and blueberries with orang juice?” I ask

Tutankhamun shrugged “that could work too”

Chuckling, I started getting the ingredients “can I help too?” Kaizer asks “of course you can little one” smiled Tutankhamun down to his son; I like to believe that I want to see both Ankhesenamun and Tutankhamun happy like this.

“Mommy, dad told me he was Pharaoh and sat on a throne” Kaizer says “everyone I'm this house knows that, darling” I kiss his nose “how come I don't since I am his son?” he asks “well we had to leave Egypt to get your father suitable medicine thus resulting, probably the palace was taken over by the Matanni” I explained

“I often wonder who took the throne while I'm gone,” Tutankhamun admits “could be Ay” he shrugs and a cold sensation rushed on my adrenaline at the mentions of Ay “who's Ay?” asked Kaizer “My Vizier....well..once Vizier” Tutankhamun says.

Soon, we were done making breakfast with everyone coming saying their good morning and soon, we ate.

“Ankhesenamun, are you alright?” Tutankhamun asks worried for her sister, “she had a breakdown last night but she's fine” Kenai says with a reassuring smile “so you think I'm lying?” Ankhesenamun asks with a glare; oh no, she's in that mood

“no, I do believe you my love” Kenai rubs her back “then why don't any of you believe me when I failed to connect with her like a real mother should?” asks Ankhesenamun “Ankhe, everyone in this table believes you” u cut in “we do?” Aponi asks and i gave her a death glare “we do,” I say straight at her then looked back at my friend “and that's one of the reasons Tutankhamun and I are going back to the hospital to get to the bottom of things” I say

“We are? We're driving all the way to—oooohhh!” he winced when I kicked him under the table as he shut his eyes in pain “we are. Would that make you happy?” I ask

“I suppose” she weakly nods “Yes, all you need to do dearest sister, is rest” Tutankhamun says returning back to his posture as the children laugh at him. We ate our breakfast and then I washed the dishes with Aponi.

I ram upstairs to get my jacket along with Tutankhamun as it was starting the cold season. We said goodbye to the kids and told them to be good and kissed the twins hoping that nothing goes wrong; Ankhesenamun doesn't deserve all this, she's been through a lot, she deserves happiness but who am I to demand all these things? I haven't even finish High School.
