Hank continued driving us through the city at a slow pace so that I could see what the place is like. There were a few kids playing soccer in in the street in front of their houses while some teenagers were playing a game of pickup in a nearby ally, adults sitting in lawn chairs talking and watching their kids close by. A little farther up the road was various shops filled with food, toys, furniture, and other miscellaneous objects. The farther in we went, however, the nicer the buildings seemed to get. The houses and shops by the entrance were small and rundown, but the ones in the center are like what you would see in in a gated community; well kept, more modern, and the people seemed to have more money. I sighed, I had hoped that problems like that would be nonexistent by now but it seems I was wrong.

"So what do you think so far?" Jason asked me.

I thought that the city looked amazing, but I didn't want to actually grow to like this place. This city if full of kidnappers, they took my friend. "I'd rather just get to work with the inklings and octos you picked up." I told them. I wanted to find 8 and get her and her baby out of here as soon as possible.

"Straight to business, I like it." Hank said. "but you just got here. We're gonna have a party in your honor, get ready for one hell of a night!"

"Yeah man, get drunk, get laid, have some fun!" Seth told me, "You can worry about work tomorrow."

"We won't take no for an answer cutie!" Zoe added.

I sighed in defeat, "Alright, you win. But I do want to know where they are."

"Not to far from where you'll be living actually." Jason told me. "As soon as we found you, our best builders got to work on making you a house."

"Wow, you guys don't waste time." I said mildly impressed.

"I'll take you there after the party." Hank said. "but for now, let's head to the plaza."

Hank continued driving through the city until we got to a large cobblestone square surrounded by some very colorful shops and benches. There were several tents and empty food stands set up with a very fancy looking stage in the back. Not really my style of party.

Seth noticed my face as we got out of the van and said, "Not impressed?"

"Don't get me wrong, I appreciate you guys doing this for me," I quickly said, "but I prefer tailgates and bonfires."

"The hell are those?" Hank asked.

My eyes went wide, "YOU DON'T- OK that's it, do you have a farm with a big yard around here?"

"Yeah why?" Zoe asked me.

I lifted the decorations on the stage to find that it was made of wood planks, perfect. "What cars do you use to haul this stuff?" I asked, ignoring Zoe's question.

"Uh, pickup trucks." Jason said.

"Awesome, pack up all of this shit and move it to that farm." I instrucked. The others looked confused, but they did as I told them. Half an hour latter,  there were thirty pickups with full beds on their way to the farm, to be clear there was only about twenty trucks worth of stuff in the plaza, the other ten had some other stuff I told them to get.

We got to the farm and the others waited for me to give them more instructions. "Alright, set the stage up back next to the side of the barn! And loose those decorations!" I called out to some of the other humans. "You guys set up the stalls over there!" I told some others, pointing a few feet to the right of the stage, "And no decorations, same as the stage! Now you guys set up the bonfire, I'll show you how!" we set up the logs and hay bales into a pyre and put a few of the extra logs in a square around it, as well as make a few makeshift benches in front of the stage. "Perfect, now all that's left is to park the trucks in a half circle around all of this with the backs facing towards all of this, and leave the tailgates down!"
