A few days later, I was able to make a prototype 2 of my bubble wrap.

I hid it from Megumin so she couldn't pop anymore.

She almost popped it twice today if I wasn't fast enough.

"If you keep attempting to pop my bubble wraps, I'll cut your funds I am giving to your family! I'm really serious!"

I unleashed all my frustration.

"I'm sorry! It's just too addicting! Don't make it in front of me!"

She tried to make all sorts of excuses which I knew were lies.

Ding!

Ding!

The adventure guild bell rings, indicating for an emergency alert.

"Hey! It's an emergency! We should really go!"

Darkness and Megumin were the first to go out of the mansion.

While me and Aqua protested.

"Don't wanna! I'm 90% complete on my project!"

"I'm with Kazuma! This town would be dead if it weren't for us! If they try to bring us out of the mansion, we can leave the whole town to the Demon King Army!'

Aqua went back to laying on her couch while drinking saké.

"Satou Kazuma!"

I heard a different voice which gained my attention.

"There seems to be a new female adventurer! She says she is looking forward to meet you in the guild! She claims to be your #1 fan!"

I instantly hid my bubble wrap and grabbed Aqua.

"Hey! What are you doing?! Let me go!"

"I have a #1 fan to impress! You're coming with me or else I'll kick you out of the mansion! It's my property!"

"Waahhh!!"

Every adventurer in this town was present inside the guild.

It must be pretty serious.

I began scouting.

"Kazuma! Kazuma! If it's an Undead, then I will help you! But let me go! I have a bad feeling! My goddess instincts is telling me that there is great danger!"

"Shut up! I'm scouting to see where my #1 female fan is!"

"Hahaha!"

Megumin and Darkness began snickering behind our backs.

I had a bad feeling just like Aqua.

"Attention! Adventurers that has earned more than 1 million eris this year, pay your taxes!"

All of us froze in place.

"Eh?"

Literally everyone said this.

"We kind of need a bit of funding. So we decided that it is the time to pay taxes! Even 1 eris can do very much!"

Half of the adventures that were in the guild suddenly ran away to prevent paying taxes.

"Help me!"

"Eris-sama! Protect me from the tax collectors!"

"Eris-sama pads her chest!"

"Whoever said that, thank you!"

I should be getting out of here too...
