Volume 4 : A Party At Iris's Kingdom | Chapter 2 |

[ Third POV ]

"Oi, is that guy planning on just running inside the kingdom to interrupt the party?"

The 1st guard asks.

There was a shadowed figure as they couldn't identify his face at all.

The dark night made it more hard to see his clothing.

"I don't know his intentions but we should probably ask him to leave. Hey, sir! This is not your property to practice running!"

The shadowed figure still kept running towards them.

"Hey! I said halt your movements!"

The 2 guards unsheathe their swords to intimidate the shadowed figure.

The shadowed figure raises his arms.

"Brace yourselves! He's going to attack-"

FOOM!

The 2 guards suddenly turn behind 180 degrees in an instant.

"What the?"

They both were confused until they saw the shadowed figure trespass the border.

"Oh crap! He got in! Wait, why isn't he attacking us?"

"Through observation, it seems he's after something in the party! We have no time to chase after him! This takes priority! Shoot the red flare! Don't let that man get to the main party! This is not a practice!"

The 2nd guard demands the 1st guard to do.

The 1st guard was sweating with fear.

"Quit wasting time! This isn't a training session! This is the real deal!"

But the 1st guard said something surprising.

"I've already fired the red flare, sir..."

"Huh? Since when? I didn't even hear it..."

The red flare was already up in the sky.

"It's as if... he erased our movements..."

All the other guards see the red flare up in the sky.

"Everyone! In battle position! There's an intruder alert! We must not let the intruder disrupt Her Highness Iris's birthday!"

There were tons of guards ready to tackle on the shadow figure who was still running straight towards them.

"Bring it!"

"It's 10 against 1!"

FOOM!

"Eh!?"

The guards were shocked that the shadowed figure instantly were behind them.

"How did he get past us! Chase after him!"

"Get the archers! Get the adventurers!"

Next line of defense were the archers.

"Aim your bow at him! The intruder cannot trespass any property after this! If he does, we will be an embarrassment!"

The archers hovered their bow at the shadowed figure.

"Fire!"

The archers shot their arrows right at the shadowed figure's head.

FOOM!

The shadowed figure was suddenly farther than the arrows were meant to hit.
