Volume 4 : A Party At Iris's Kingdom | Chapter 3 |

"Satou Kazuma, do you remember this magical item?"

Sena grand a bell and puts it on the table

I was arrested for suspicious reasons for raiding Iris's birthday party, which I did attend but didn't do any harm.

I was simply kicked out and I was fine with it.

"It's the magical bell that when it detects a lie, it rings."

I answered her.

"Very good. We are just going to answer a few questions. If the bell rings when a critical question is asked, you will be on trial in an instant."

[ Darkness's POV ]

After a whole hour of struggling, Kazuma was eventually arrested and now in an interrogation room.

Me, Aqua and Megumin decided to listen about Kazuma's whereabouts.

"Welcome, Lady Lalatina."

An officer salutes me and allows me in my friends in a separate room.

We were in a room where Kazuma couldn't see us but we could see him.

"What were you doing when you were in Axel?"

"I was helping people-"

Ding!

"I was buying more succubus tickets because I figured that if I was alone for tonight, I thought it would be fun."

All of us look at Kazuma with shame.

"They got the wrong idea! If Kazuma is found innocent, let's ditch this town and sue it! They always think we are criminals!"

Aqua told Megumin.

"Would you please let me eat my chocolate in peace?"

She politely asked her.

"Where were you during the party?"

We all 3 listen to Sena's questions and Kazuma's answers.

"I was in the party but then I went back to my mansion and visited Axel to help a few people out."

The bell didn't ring.

"I see. Why did you decide to leave the party at such a coincidental time?"

"GIVE ME SOME CHOCOLATE!"

I heard Aqua and Megumin fighting.

"Hey, calm down! We need to listen to the interrogation!"

"After the party started to get boring, I politely asked Iris if I can leave. She accepted it kindly and I went back home.."

THUNK!

The bell didn't ring.

Wait a minute, why didn't it ring?

Only me and the girls know why Kazuma was kicked out of the party but why didn't the bell ring?

"Please! Give me some chocolate! I'm hungry!"

Aqua and Megumin were still fighting over the candy.

"Wait... what is in your mouth, Aqua?"

Megumin pointed.

"Eh? Oh my! It tastes so good!"

Aqua instantly had chocolate in her mouth.

"How did you get them so fast?! I couldn't see it!"

Megumin asks.

I don't know why but I got a sudden feeling that something was wrong with Kazuma.
