[ Darkness's POV ]

A few days later after Kazuma escaped.

Claire and I finally tracked down where Kazuma was.

Apparently he was heading towards the Crimson Demon village.

He also stole the Divine Relic again from the judge and quickly ran.

"This is confusing. If the Divine Relic holds so much power, why can't Kazuma just absorb it right now and kill us all?"

Claire asks me.

"Kazuma won't kill us. We are too close to him. Someone is in Kazuma's body and controlling him. He did say he was suffering headaches and heard voices."

"That is true. But who would decide to possess a low class adventurer of all people? Why not Princess Iris or you?"

"That's what I am wondering. Apparently the person who is controlling Kazuma right now, his name is King Crimson?"

I revealed the enemy's name for Claire.

"King Crimson? I've heard of that name from many other Crimson Demons but they call him King of Crimson Demons."

"It's the same thing. But the point is, King Crimson decided to possess Kazuma probably because he was more of a threat than all of us combined."

Claire was laughing.

"I don't think a mere adventurer holds a threat to an enemy that invaded the whole kingdom easily. Do you have any history from him?"

"We met him when we visited the village. We were given a quest to kill him. King Crimson managed to traumatized Kazuma which maybe why he was able to go into his body. But I saw Aqua disintegrate him."

I then realized something.

"I know now! King Crimsom manifested into a soul! That's why when Kazuma switched our souls back to our original body, King Crimson's own soul was created. He faked his death and he possessed Kazuma. He has laid dormant, waiting for the right chance to manipulate Kazuma's anger!"

"What are you talking about?"

Claire was getting more confused.

"We should go to the Crimson Demon village now, the reason why King Crimson hasn't used the Divine Relic is because he hasn't fully control Kazuma's body. The only way he can control it is if he uses Kazuma's anger. He wants his body to manifest and then he will absorb the Divine Relic. We must not let that happen."

Knock!

Knock!

Claire opens the door and a man shows up.

He wore his own black hood with grey pants. He had black shoes that matched his clothing. His silver white hair was the only white color on his body besides his bone. His eyes were red, they reminded of a Crimson Demon.

"This is Metallica. He's the best assassin in the whole world. He can subdue Kazuma easily. He hasn't lost a single target at all."

"Who is the target?"

Metallica asks.

"The target is Satou Kazuma. I want him alive."

Claire showed a drawing of Kazuma.

"Where is the payment?"

"Here is 50 million eris coins."

Claire handed him a bag of coins.

"Okay, I can already see where he is going. He is near the border of the Crimson Demon village."

His assassin skills were the top of all.
