Sunny and Deathbringer- Partners in Crime

Episode 2, Part 2: The Diamond

Sunny's POV

Sunny woke up. Maybe I'll talk to Thorn and see she's found anything else out, Sunny thought as she walked through the palace. This place is ridiculously big.

As Sunny walked to the throne room an angry Viper stormed by. "You didn't find out anything else did you?" Sunny asked as she walked onto the room. "No and as a result Viper is furious. Please tell me you have something." Thorn said.

"Maybe, we're going to look into it today." Sunny said. "Well good luck." Thorn said before hugging Sunny. "Sounds like someone needs something." Sunny said pulling away. "I just hope it's not Viper." Thorn said.

Sunny opened the doors and left passing a Sandwing that was,  thankfully, not Viper. I should eat something first before I go to the office. Maybe I can eat at the place Meerkat works. I think he'd be there.

Deathbringer's POV

Deathbringer flew to the office and walked in. I'll update our theories while I wait for Sunny. Eventual Sunny walked in looking even happier than usual. "Where were you?" Deathbriger asked.

"No where that concerns you." Sunny said still beaming. "Does it have something to do with Meerkat?" Deathbringer asked smiling. "NO WHY WOULD YOU THINK THAT?" Sunny almost shouted. "Liar." Deathbringer said with a smug expression, "Tell me."

"Ihadbreakfastattheplaceheworksandhewasthereandwetalked." Sunny said, "There." "Tell me again or I'll tell the other DOD's you have a crush." Deathbringer threatened with a grin. "FINE," Sunny groaned, "I had breakfast at the place he works and he was there and we talked."

"What did you say to each other?" Deathbriger asked. "Stop asking me about it or I will tell Thorn, Glory, and Six-claws that you persuaded him." That shut Deathbringer up. "Now lets focus on the case." Sunny said like she hadn't just been the first dragon ever to get Deathbringer to shut up.

"The guards are out, Scorch is still missing and looking more like the suspect by the minute, and we still need to look into Fennec." Deathbriger summarized after a minute. "Since no one has found Scorch let's look for Fennec." Sunny said.

After asking around for about half an hour they finally found Fennec. "Get someone to watch Viper." "But-" "I don't care if he's being horrible, that's why I want someone following him." Fennec yelled at a poor Sandwing as they walked in.

Fennec turned to them and looked ready to yell for a second before relaxing some. "What may I do for you Princess Sunny?" she asked. Deathbringer was momentarily blinded when the large stone in one of her necklaces caught the light."Why are you yelling?" Sunny asked her.

"With both Dawn and Scorch missing I've been the one who's had to put up with Viper and his mood." Fennec growled the last few words. "Whose Dawn?" Deathbringer asked not remembering seeing that name.

"She helped mange finances, though she was only hired because Scorch asked." Fennec said making a face. "Do you not like her?" Sunny asked. "I never really liked her yes, but now I would like to have a few words with her and Scorch." Fennec said taking a paper and looking over it, "I'm really sorry but could you come back later I'm really busy." She asked signing the paper and handing back to the Sandwing.

"Sure." Sunny said. After they had left Sunny asked, "Do you think Scorch stole the diamond and then they ran away together." "Maybe, something about that seems unlikely though." Deathbringer said. "What?" "Let's look for Dawn." Deathbringer said ignoring Sunny.

Sunny's POV

They had flown  back to the office and found a picture of Dawn. That had been almost two hours ago. "We should head back or get someone to help." Deathbringer said. It's not like we're going to find her if she's even here, Sunny thought as she said, "Let's go back and update the board."
