They all walk into the school hall and take their sits as well as the other students. Since the ceremony was yet to begin,they were all discussing among themselves.
"So, when is this ceremony gonna start?" Eric asks
"Not sure,it's already 10:30AM and they've not started. I'm gonna sue this school before I leave." Alexa says jokingly
Angel, Courtney and Alexa all laugh
"Oh Alexa!" Angel says while still laughing
"I'm not kidding, I'm serious!" Alexa tries to say with a stern voice
"Sure you are." Courtney replies
"Uhm, I'm here you guys!" Jake says from the back where he was sitting
"So?" Angel replies rudely
"So....talk to me you guys! I feel so left out." Jake says
"Well,what do you want us to talk to you about?" Angel asks
"Anything, I'm bored right now! Like when is this award giving ceremony gonna start?"
"Be patient Jake, why'd you even come here in the first place?" Angel says irritatedly
"Cos I'm on holidays and I also came here to support and congratulate you or whatever." Jake replies sweetly
Angel smiles "Aw,so sweet of you."
"You're so sweet Jake." Courtney says
"Ok,ok.... don't get all touchy and emotional."
They all laugh
"But dude,can I ask you something?" Eric asks and they all stop laughing
"Uh sure,I guess." Jake replies
"Uhm,you know what never mind."
"Whatever." Jake replies rudely
"Good day students....." The headmaster says as he approaches the stage
"Good morning sir!" The students all chorus
"Ugh! I'm so glad I'm finally leaving this school. Like why do we have to say that,it's like so childish." Courtney says
"It's a sign of respect Courtney." Angel replies
"Wait,uh?" Courtney says confusingly
"Sssssh, listen you guys." Alexa whispers to them
"Sheesh." Courtney says
"I'm so glad that we could all make it here today. We've all worked very hard and I have to say, i'm really impressed by the results of our efforts. Some of us did extremely well, some gave it their best and did all they could while some just didn't seem to try at all. Anyways I'm proud of you all. I'm really gonna miss most of you, but I'm also really happy for you. I also want to tell you that no matter what happens, even if you don't make it now....i believe you'll still make it next year. Please let's welcome Mrs Smith and Mr Wesson as they come up on stage to share your results and awards to most of you that deserve to be awarded.
The students all clap as Mrs Smith and Mr Wesson approached the stage.
"What a speech." Eric whispers
"Yeah." Angel replies and smiles
"So, there's really not much to be said. Mr Lewis has said it all,and I have to admit, they're indeed words of wisdom. So because of our time, we'll start to announce your results and award most of you. Mrs Smith,you can proceed with the results."
