Later in the day, the pair sat down in the living room and tried to figure out what they would do once they got back to school.

They weren't sure whether it was a good idea to make it obvious that they were now friends. With Harry being on the light side and a Gryffindor and Draco being a Slytherin who was on the dark side, they just couldn't come to an agreement as they both obviously wanted to show that they were friends, but Harry wasn't sure how all his mates would react if they did. Not to mention what would happen if Voldemort found out.

But Harry knew deep down that they would all get over it if they did publicly say that they were now friends. Gryffindors never hold grudges for long, unless your name is Ronald Billius Weasley. The only problem they would really face, would be the death eaters.

"I can't even imagine Rons face if he sees that we've actually made up, he'd probably have a heart attack" Harry joked.

"I honestly would pay to see the look on his face. He'll think I've turned you into a Slytherin or something". Draco knew Harry held his friends very high so didn't want to insult them when he was now friends with the brunette.

"Im sure Ron would get over it, as would Hermione and the rest of Gryffindor. They all look up to me too much to be upset with me forever".

Draco knew this was true and nodded his head. He knew what it was like having people look up to him, as he was the Slytherin Prince, most people in Slytherin treat him like a leader, as do most people with Harry.

"You know, I never thought that you and I could actually get along and have a civil conversation. To be honest, I would've thought that we wouldn't be able to not argue even though we had a truce, like we've argued for so long, now here I am sat with you and I'm not even trying to kill you. Honestly I find that quite funny".

Harry thought about it for a moment and then started to laugh. "I mean if you miss the arguing and fighting we can always go back to it if you want".

It was Dracos turn to laugh. "Nah, I think I'd rather be friends with the Chosen One than be enemies, maybe it has its perks?"

Harry hit Draco lightly on the arm and laughed. "Shut up you prat, there's no perks unless you count getting into trouble and danger every five seconds and trying to save the whole entire wizarding world from a fucking lunatic as a perk, then yes being friends with the Chosen One has its perks. Otherwise no there isn't any".

"Well either way I'm glad we're friends and not trying to kill each other".

With that Harry threw a pillow at Draco, Draco retaliated and threw one back. This went backwards and forwards until Draco launched himself at Harry and ended up straddling his lap hitting him with a pillow. Harry picked up the nearest pillow and nestled it into the the blondes face. He nearly fell off Harry lap but Harry grabbed his wrist and pulled up back. Draco fell into Harry's shoulder, both boys sat still trying to catch their breath.

"I really just had a pillow fight with the Slytherin Prince" Harry was amused at this fact as he didn't think Draco would ever do something like that.

Draco looked down at Harry as he was still on his lap. "Surprised Potter?" This caused Harry to laugh as all the memories of second year came flooding back to them. "Yeah I know I was a stuck up git back then, in all honesty I wouldn't wanna be friends with me either".

"Yeah, but you're not all that bad now, I just had to actually get on with you to be able to see that. You may be a stuck up git to people you don't like, but I can see that when you have someone you care about, you protect them at all costs. That's what makes you different from all the death eaters. You value friendships and actually care for the other people around you. All the death eaters care about is making sure they don't get killed at meetings. I'm sure they don't even like Voldemort, they're probably only there because they don't want Voldemort to kill their family. None of them have a heart". Harry put his hand on Dracos chest. "But you do Draco. And that's why you aren't a true death eater".

Draco couldn't hold it in any longer a burst into tears. He buried his head into Harry's neck and just sobbed.

Harry wasn't sure what to do. He remembered that when Hermione cries when she's had an argument when Ron, he rubs circles on her back to calm her down, so he tried this with Draco.

Harry didn't realise that Draco actually had feelings, in fact he'd never really interacted with the blonde other than to hurl insults at him or the occasional push and shove in the corridors. But now he was in Harry's arms crying his eyes out.

After a couple of minutes Draco finally started to calm down, but Harry knew that he was still crying has he could feel the sharp intakes of breath from the blonde. He sat rocking Draco until he had finally stopped crying. He was shaking but seemed to have calmed down.

Harry stayed laying with Draco to make sure he was okay but when he looked down after 10 minutes he saw that he had fallen asleep.

He stroked the blondes tear stained face gently wiping away any tears still on his face and then stroked his hair. He wasn't sure why Draco had had such an outburst like that but he was hurting. It had never occurred to Harry that maybe Draco wasn't doing as well as he seemed. He knew he was a death eater but he didn't think that Draco wouldn't want to be one. For merlins sake his father was one of Voldemort's most loyal followers. But really Draco was just a boy, like Harry was. He could see in Dracos silvery eyes that he didn't want to hurt anyone. He saw the fear that no one else had seen.

He'd heard rumours about Dracos home life and how his father had abused him. Unfortunately that was something Harry could relate to. Not that he had told anyone-well come to think of it, Snape had seen the scars down his arms from the beatings he had had while with his aunt and uncle. He had forgotten that the glamours wear off after 7 hours and when he was walking back to the Gryffindor common room, Snape had passed him in the corridor and had glanced at them. It was clear what they were, so there was no point in hiding it, as the greasy haired git had already seen it. After that he tried to avoid the man at all costs.

After the conversation Harry had had with the blonde, something was made very clear to the brunette. Draco needed Harry and Harry needed Draco.
