Chapter 10

When the pair woke up the next morning, they both decided to have pancakes with strawberries for breakfast before giving each other their present. A rather disgruntled looking Kreacher gave them their food without uttering a word, much to both the boys surprise.

Harry and Draco then went back into the living room and exchanged presents. It only took them a second to realise that they had managed to get each other the same gift, without even trying. Harry burst into a fit of laughter and then got up and hugged Draco. Draco took Harry's ring out of the box and slid it on his finger. Harry did the same with Draco's.

"How did we manage that then?" Harry looked down at his ring and ran his finger along it. He actually really liked the ring when he saw it at the shop, so thought it was funny that Draco had got him the ring as well.

"Because maybe we are both Slytherin at heart". Draco replied slyly.

Harry looked at Draco in questioning. "What do you mean by that?"

"I overheard a conversation between you and Ron in third year, about you asking the Sorting Hat to be put in Gryffindor and not Slytherin. I honestly thought that was quite ironic really, considering you're such a brave Gryffindor".

"Jeez, I really need to check for who's around me when I'm talking don't I". Harry giggled. Of course Draco would of heard that. He was obsessed with Harry since third year anyways, so it made sense that he somehow found out about it.

"Yes I argued with the Sorting Hat. Only because everything I had been told was very bias towards Gryffindor and very anti-Slytherin. I thought that if I was placed in Slytherin I would somehow become Voldemort. I was young and easily led astray".

"Mhm sounds like a personal issue to me". Draco joked. That earned him a wack from the brunette. "Ouch! Chill I was joking!" Draco giggled.

"Yeah, yeah whatever you say Malfoy". Harry really put the emphasis on his last name and dragged it out for a while. "No, don't use my last name". Draco whined sliding down into Harry's lap, glaring up at Harry.

Harry kissed Draco's forehead gently. "Thank you for the ring. I love it".

Hermione and Ron came through the Floo network at around six o'clock. Harry was glad that his best friends were with him as well as Draco. It wasn't Christmas without Hermione and Ron.

It was only after everyone had received their presents did things get serious.

"Okay so, Draco has a plan that I think could actually work". Harry looked over to where Draco was sitting and nodded to him to keep going.

"I was thinking that Harry and I could go back to Hogwarts a day early, that way there won't be many students around, and I could go to Dumbledore and explain to him that I no longer want to be apart of the dark side, pretty much meaning I want to help him. Then I could somehow get Dumbledore to allow Harry to stay in my dorm. You two would be allowed in at any time I can just give Hermione the password. Harry told me about the horcruxes and I want to help. I could probably get you access to stuff you wouldn't normally be allowed to access if you get me".

Hermione and Ron agreed immediately, despite Ron looking like he didn't like the idea of Draco coming with them to hunt for horcruxes.

Hermione looked at Harry and said "So what are you going to do about you and Draco's disappearance? The Ministry are going mad looking for you".

"I'll just get Dumbledore to sort it out when I see him before the start of term. Hopefully he can just owl the ministry what happened, I'll tell him that the death eaters kidnapped us. They'll get the aurors in".
