Prologue

"Red strings. In our bloodline, we see red strings in the pinky finger of each and everyone. That red string is connected to their soulmate's pinky." My mother said.

"Eomma, why can't I see my own string?" I asked.
"Jimin, you could only see your string when you turn 16." My mother replied.

"T-then can you see my string?!" I asked excitedly. My mother replied, "Of course."

"Eomma, then is my string connected to someone? Who?! Who?!"
My mother chuckled, "Jimin, your string right now is dangling. It looks like your soulmate isn't here right now"

"Awwwww..." I whined
"Next time, you'll see your string and whoever your soulmate is."

I was 7 years old that day. I am turning 16 tomorrow and I am super excited to meet my soulmate!!
Ah, I just remembered tomorrow is also the first day of school.. why? WHY?! now I don't feel excited for tomorrow.. Well at least I am going to be classmates with my best friend, Taehyung.

My best friend also knows about my family's secret and he's been bothering me to tell him to whom his string is connected to. But, I told him that I will only tell it when I am 16 so it wouldn't be unfair. If he has a soulmate, it would be only fair for me to also have one. So Taehyung is going to have to wait for me.

Then I heard a 'ting!' I immediately checked my cellphone, it looks like Taehyung texted me.
