(David's POV)
Natalie is really stressed lately. She has mostly taken over the whole organization with the merch and the clickbait brand. We want to create a new collection for next month and I know that I am being a pain in the ass. That's why I am going to organize a trip to Chicago to see our parents, that always brings up the mood in the Dobrik/Mariduena household.
It's Monday today and our trip is starting on Wednesday. Our flight is at 4am, we will be in Chicago at around 8am.
"Nat, Babe, I know you have been really stressed about merch lately and I have a surprise for you."
"Okay David but make it quick, I have a call with fanjoy at 3"
"That's why we are going to Chicago on Wednesday so we can relax for some time" I say to her hoping that she will like the surprise
"David we can't leave now we have to pitch the Idee for the new collection but obviously you think about going on vacation" she says to me
"I thought you would be happy" I said really sad
"I will talk to you later babe I have to go now" Natalie says and kisses me quickly
It made me really sad that she reacted that way. I hope that she will realize that this trip is a good thing for her.
(Nat's POV)
After my call with fanjoy I realized what I had said to David. I needed to apologize to him right now.
"Hey David can we talk?" I ask him as I walk into his room
"Sure"
"I'm sorry about how I reacted when you told me about the trip, I was being to harsh on you" I say hoping for him to accept my apology
"It's okay Nat you have been so busy lately and I was being an ass so I guess I had that coming, come here" he said and opened his arms for me and I hugged him
"Now let's get packing babe"
It's the night of Wednesday and we are leaving for the airport. I am so very tired because Dave always books the worst flights ever.
(David's POV)
When we sat down in our seats I immediately felt Natalies head fall on my shoulder because she was so exhausted and I let it be and took her hand. I hope that she is comfortable, I just love her so much.
"We landed love" I whisper and kiss her had hoping that she would wake up from that
"I like waking up from your kisses" she says with a sleepy grin on her face
"And I love waking you up with kisses, but now get up"
"Oh yes sorry I bet that was uncomfortable for you" she says
"No not at all I love cuddling you"
"Liar" she says and fake punches me in the chest
"Go now babe our parents are waiting for us"
"Okay okay"
We leave the terminal and see Natalies sisters and their mom.
"Hey Mom, I've missed you so much" Natalie says as she hugs her mother
"Hi guys it's so good to see you" I say and go around to hug all the girls. They are like family to me too
"Natalie your dad has planned a barbecue for the evening are you two joining?" Her mom asks her
"Yes, right David, we don't have anything else to to?" Natalie asks me
"No we don't I would love to have a nice barbecue"
(Nat's POV)
"Hey mom is it okay if Ilya and Reggie come for the barbecue too" I ask my mom on our way back from the airport
"Of course, I feel like you are in high school again asking that" my mother replies laughing
"The good old times" I laugh
"Ilyaaaa, Reggieeee I'm so happy to see you guys again. It's been a while" I run over to them an hug them
"I'm so happy to see the lovely couple too" says Reggie and hugs David and I
"So you haven't gotten tired of each other yet?" Ilya asks
"No Ilya and I will never get tired of this girl" David says and gives me a side hug
I lean up to him and give him a kiss right on the lips.
"I love you David"
"And I love you Natalie"
"Ew I'm getting sick seeing all this cuteness" Ilya says obviously joking
*cough* "Jealous" *cough*,says David
"Hey David can you come over here and help me with the grill really quick?" My dad yells over to us
"I'll be right there" He says and kisses me and turns around
I hope my dad doesn't say anything weird to him or make him uncomfortable.
(David's POV)
I went over to Natalies Dad to help him
"Hey David I actually wanted to talk to you about something important" he says to me
I was immediately a little scared and curious to where he is going with this.
