Chapter 26

TODAY IT'S MY BIRTHDAY but I woke up alone in bed. I go downstairs and I find Jensen making breakfast. "Good morning" I say
"Good morning" he says
"I hope you slept good because today is a special day" he says
"I slept really good" I say
"Great because today..." he says wrapping his arms around my waist "... today is our first day in the house together" he says
"Is that the only reason today's day is special?" I ask disappointed
"Yes, why? Is our anniversary today?" he asks
"No. You know what? Forget it" I say and I leave
"Where are you going? Don't you want breakfast?" he asks
"I'm fine" I say and I go back to our room.

I look at my phone and I have no messages or missed calls. My brother is always the first one to call me and say happy birthday to me. He always wants to be the first to say it but today he didn't. Not even my mom or my dad called. Last year I was working on my birthday so I couldn't answer to any of them when they called me but that didn't mean that I don't want them to call me this year. My fingers were running nervously and pissed against the sheet of the bed. I finally decide to call Dylan.

"Hello?" he asks as he picks up
"Hi D. It's (Y/N)" I say
"Hi sis. How are you?" he asks
"Good. How are you?" I ask
"I'm good. Do you need anything? Why are you calling so early in the morning?" he asks
"I just called to see how you're doing. And see if there is anything you want to tell me?" I ask
"No, I don't think so" he says
"Are you sure? Did you see the date?" I ask
"Yes, I did. So wanna tell me something like happy birthday?" he asks. Is it just his birthday today? Did he forget that he has a sister? A TWIN SISTERS THAT WAS BORN THE SAME DAY AS HE DID?
"No, absolutely nothing. Bye" I say and I hang up pissed.

Jensen's open the door and runs to me. "Baby, I'm so sorry. How could I forget it?" he asks and kisses me
"It's ok. At least you remembered it" I say and I kiss him again. But then he turns to leave. "Where are you going? Aren't you gonna say something first?" I ask
"What am I supposed to say? I kissed you so I can go" he says
"What?" I ask not understanding
"I forgot to kiss you this morning" he says
"Go out" I say kicking him out of the room.

I went downstairs, grabbed something to eat and went back to the room. It is almost 8 pm and no one called me yet. Not even my mom. Everyone forgot about me this year so I'm gonna go celebrate alone. I put some music on and I open my closet.

An hour later, I was dressed, did my hair and make up and I ready to leave. I open the door of the room and I immediately meet Jensen in the hallway. "Wow" he says as he sees me "Why are you dressed up? Where are you going? And with who?" he asks
"I'm going out. I don't know. Alone" I say and I get ready to walk past him but he stops me
"Wait" he says
"No, I'm tired of waiting because today it's my birthday Jensen and no one remembered it. Not you, not my family, not my friends, no one! So I'm going to celebrate alone" I say
"Ok. If you want to go then go" he says stepping out of the way
"Thank you I say and I go downstairs.

But as I step on the last step of the stair, Jensen picks me up from behind "Jensen, what are you doing? Let me down" I yell as he carries me to the backyard
"SURPRISE!" I hear everyone yell as the outside lights turn on. Everyone was there. My parents, my brother, his parents, Jared, Kim, Briana and more friends from the cast and the hospital. I turn to Jensen
"Happy birthday baby" he says and I kiss him.
"You did this?" I ask
"Maybe" he says and kisses me.

After the hugs, kisses and cake, everyone was in the backyard hanging around. Jensen and I were sitting on one of the sunbeds besides the pool looking at the stars. I was sitting between his legs and laying my back and head against his chest. "I love you so much" I say
"I love you more" he says and kisses my head
"By the way, great acting today. You got me good" I say and he chuckles
"That's my job" he says and I chuckle. I look back at the sky and I take a deep breath.

"Can this day become any better?" I ask
"Well, it can" he says as he gets up from the sunbed
"What?" I ask. He makes eye contact with Jared and he nods. Jared knocks on my mom's shoulder and points at us. Soon all of the guests were looking at us.
"From the first moment that our eyes met, I knew that something was different about you. But at that moment I couldn't do anything because I was on stage and you were sitting in the second row in the audience so I thought that whatever happened it was already over. But now here we are almost two years later standing in the yard of our own house. (Y/N), I love you more than anything and there is nobody in this world that I'd rather spend the rest of my life with than you" he says an he pulls a little box out of his pocket and I gasp.
"Jensen... No..." I whisper covering my mouth with my hands as he gets down on one knee in front of me
"Dr (Y/N) (Y/L/N), will you marry me?" he asks
"Yes" I say. He smiles and kisses me immediately as everyone around us was cheering.
