When you stepped out of your house you saw Mattsun waiting for you the same way he had the day prior. Your stomach twisted in happiness with a little hint of guilt about possibly having gone on a date with Kageyama yesterday, you hesitated for a second before walking down the path to join the boy.

To be honest you really weren't sure what was going through Kageyama's head these days but your guard was certainly up, you didn't want to do anything that would make Mattsun feel uneasy.

"Good morning~" you cooed as you walked through the gate and he turned around to you smiling brightly as he pulled you into a bear hug.

"Goooooood morning~" he said happily squeezing you tightly in his arms, making you giggle. He slid one arm around your shoulders as he let you out of the hug and you both made your way down the street.

"So how'd it go yesterday?" he poked.

"How'd what go?" you asked, knowing full well what he meant.

"Kageyama, did something happen with him?"

"What do you mean?" you asked with a tinge of guilt, wondering if maybe he had saw you guys together.

He looked at you with slight confusion as he lifted his hand to gently make a knocking motion on your head. "Knock knock, hello~ You were super worried about him yesterday, was anything wrong?" he grinned.

"Ah no, he actually just wanted to hang out apparently" you pursed your lips.

"Ah, alright. That's good." Mattsun responded softly with a small smile as he gave your shoulder a light squeeze with the hand of the arm he had draped around you.

A light silence fell over you both, usually it'd be peaceful but you couldn't help but feel uneasy. You cursed yourself for your worries spilling into your actions, you hoped you hadn't upset him in any way. You looked up at the boy as you both walked and examined his features--you didn't notice anything out of the ordinary in his expression but he seemed to be deep in thought.

"Whatcha thinkin' about~" you hummed as you nudged his side.

He paused for a moment, pursing his lips as if he was thinking of what to say before chuckling. "You ever think about what the guy who first drank cow's milk was doing with the cow in the first place?"

You stopped in place, face twisting into a grimace as you considered what he said, making him laugh even harder.

"Riiiiiiiiiiight?" he pointed.

The rest of your walk was filled with silly theories and questions, but you couldn't help but notice the thoughtful expression Matsukawa would make when he wasn't speaking.

Your class split up into partners and by chance you got Makki today.

"Well, well, well...if it isn't my greatest love rival, (y/n)" he grinned as he pulled his desk up to yours.

"Saying 'rival' implies you have a chance" you grinned back at the boy as he gasped dramatically. He suddenly  leaned in close to you, voice barely above a whisper.

"Sooooo~ How'd it go with you and Mattsun the other night?" he wiggled his eyebrows at you.

"Great" you said shortly, a smile tugging on your lips as you looked away.

"Just great? You're really going to make me wait 9 months to find out?" he snickered as you smacked his arm and laughed.

"Shut up! It wasn't quite that~" you said trying to keep your composure but your expression gave him everything he needed to know.
