"-Cassie.."

I froze.

That bitch that was dating him?!

"Cassie?! As in, th-"

"She's the cheerleading captain.." Jake bit his lip, "I-I was.. I was forced to date her.."

The anger rose in me. Or maybe it was jealousy.. "Please tell me nothing happened between you two!-" I blurted out, without even really thinking.

He's talking about how he was forced to date her, and pretty much went through a living HELL! And that is what I'm worried about?!

"W..well.. That's.. That's why my brother's in the hospital.."

I sighed, "Did you..?"

"I.. Y-yeah.." He bit his lip and nodded slowly.

"W-was anyone else behind all this?

"C-cassie's brother.." He wiped his tears away, "M-Matthew's best.. Best friend.."

"..." I didn't know what to say.

"I.. I wanted to explain this to you.." Jake sighed.

"Th-thanks.." I smiled a bit.

For the first time tonight. I saw a small smile on Jake's face.

"I.. I.." Jake's eyes shifted away from me, "Al.. Also.. I.."

"Hm?" I put my hands behind my back.

Jake took a deep breath then inched closer towards me.

"J-Jake..?" I pit my hands in front of me.

"S..sorry.." He closed his eyes and leaned in.

My eyes widened.

Our lips touched.

He kissed me.

Jake kissed me.

After years, he kissed me!

I smiled.

"I.. I love you.." He pulled away.

I felt my tears slip down my face, "I love you too!"
