*Y/N'S POV*
I woke up and got ready to meet with Five.
"Where are you off to so early?"  My Mom asked as I bounced downstairs.  "Out with a friend?"  She asked and I blushed.
"Yes?"
"A boy by any chance?  Named...  Five?"
"How do you know that?"  I furrowed my brows.  Has she been checking up on me?
"He's in the living room with your father.  He came about 10 minutes ago.  Seems like a nice boy."
I rolled my eyes and walked into the room.
"Five!  You ready?"  I spoke up and he looked up at me and smiled.
"Of course."  He stood and approached me.
My dad turned in his chair and faced us.
"So what are you planning on doing today?"  He asked and I shrugged, tying the laces on my shoes.
"Well, I'm gonna show Y/N around town properly, have a picnic and just hang out."  I just looked at Five, a bit surprised that he had actually planned something.
"Hmm, well have fun and don't do anything I wouldn't do."  He chuckled and I heard my mother scoff.
"Well then, they've got quite a few options then don't they."
"C'mon, lets fucking go."  I muttered, pulling Five by his sleeve towards the front door.
"It was lovely meeting you both."  Five smiled and we left.
"So what do you think?  Problematic?  Obvious tension in the air?  Good liars?"
"They seem nice."  He chuckled and I nodded.
"Anyway, what're you doing introducing yourself to my parents?  One must ask for my hand in marriage before you do something like that, duh."
"Shut up!  Now c'mon, we'll get some coffee and go eat the food I made."
"I don't really like coffee that much though."  I smirked and he rolled his eyes, turning to face me.
"Fine then...  I'll get a coffee for myself and a shake for you."  I smiled at his response.
*TIME SKIP*
Five had changed his plan and asked me to get the drinks and meet him after so he could set up the picnic.  I was on my way and I saw him in the middle of the park, running over to the corners of the blanket trying to stop the wind blowing them up, I couldn't help but giggle and feel butterflies in the pit of my stomach.
"You're adorable but a fucking dumbass."  I chuckled and handed him his coffee and a doughnut.
"C'mon.  I'm starving."  He smiled and we sat.
We ended up staying there for a couple hours in the sun just talking and looking up at the sky, I turned to  face him, placing my hands under my head and leaning on my side.
"Five..."  I said, almost as loud as a whisper and he made a noise signalling that he was listening.
"Have you ever been in love?"  I asked and he turned and leaned on his elbow, looking down at me.
"Honestly, no.  I've never really met anyone outside of the academy, apart from you of course.  I don't think my father would approve of me dating anyone right now anyway, especially with missions and training."  He confessed and I couldn't help but feel bad for him and his siblings.
"You know, you don't have to be dating someone to fall in love with them."
"What do you mean?"  He questioned and I sat up and crossed my legs, shrugging my shoulders.
"I fell in love with someone before I even knew him properly...". I looked at Five and he nodded, and I proceeded to tell the story.
"He was in my grade at school and he was a bit of an outcast I guess, but so was I.  He introduced himself one day and we started hanging out more.  We started to do literally everything together.  He used to climb up through my bedroom window at night, stay over and leave early the next morning.  I fell in love with his brown eyes.  His laugh.  The way he bit his lip when he was concentrating."  I smiled at the memory.  "We were just friends and he started to flirt with girls and I got jealous, I never thought I'd get so attached, to a stupid boy.  So I told him, how I felt and he asked me to be his girlfriend.  We were happy for a couple months, and then he started to accuse me of things I hadn't done, called me a liar, said he didn't trust me and never would.  He manipulated me into having sex with him and the funny thing is, even though he was in the wrong I couldn't help but blame myself.  Every time he got angry, I got worried.  We fell apart eventually.  But you know what fucking hurts?  What hurts is that we never really said goodbye.  We just kind of ended.  He moved on, I moved away."  I finished Five pulled me into him, holding me tight.
"I'm sorry that happened, Y/N.  You deserve so much more."
"I told my Mom, and she said it won't matter in a year, but..."  I started to tear up.  "But what happens if it does?  What happens if, a year later, it still breaks my heart?  What then?"  I pulled away and wiped my eyes.
"I'm not gonna let that happen, I'm gonna try my best to make you happy, and in a year, you won't even think about him anymore.  I promise."  Five assured me and I hugged him again.
*TIMESKIP*
"Thank you for today."  Five said as we were walking back to my house.
"Why are you thanking me?  You're the one who did everything."  I smiled and he stopped me and held my hands in his.
"This is the most normality I've ever felt and I'm so grateful you were here with me."  He squeezed my hands and kissed them and I couldn't help but blush.
"Why should it have to end?"  I asked and he tilted his head in confusion.  "Stay out with me.  Live your life however you want to.  Or you'll never be truly happy."  I smiled and he hesitated.
"But it's Monday tomorrow and I have training at 6am."
"Five, honey.  You wanna feel normal and anyway, nobody remembers the nights they got plenty of sleep.  Don't worry about it, I'm sure your father used to have a life before he became a hard ass."
"Fine."  He smirked and I squealed a little.
"Let's go back to mine and we can sneak out once my parents have gone to bed."  I said and he nodded, his smile growing.
We approached my house and I walked up the steps with Five trailing behind me.
"Oh no, you're gonna have to do your little teleporting thing up there.  My parents aren't gonna allow you to come in, especially not this late."
"It's space jumping...  Not teleporting."  He frowned and I giggled.
"I'll be seeing you."  I waved and he smirked, there was a flash of blue and I entered my house.
"What was that flash just then."  My mother came running to the door and I shrugged.
"I think there's some kids down the street setting off fireworks or something."  I lied and took my shoes off.
"Good day?"  She questioned, leaning on the banister.
"Eh, it was okay I guess."
"Five seems like a nice boy.  Very polite."
"Yeah.  He is."  I smiled before heading up to my room to see Five laying on my bed.
"I'm a nice boy, am I?"  He smirked, I'm guessing he had heard what my Mom had just said to me.
"Shut up."  I pushed his legs off my bed and sat down.
"Nice poetry books."  He commented, reaching over me and grabbing a book off my bedside table.
"Ah yes, I am a fine connoisseur."  I giggled and turned to face him and he did the same.  We looked into each other's eyes and he smiled.
"I think, that as long we don't die...  This is gonna be one hell of a story."  I beamed.
"What d'ya mean?"  He questioned.
"Us.  I think we're gonna last."
"I've never been close with someone before.  I've never had the chance."
"Would you do me the honour of being my first best friend around here."  I chuckled and he nodded.
"I accept."  He smiled and I kissed his cheek and he turned completely red.
"You're blushing, that's cute."  I pointed out and he grabbed the pillow and covered his face.  "Oh my god, was that your first kiss?"  I giggled and he pushed me off the bed and I landed with a thud.  He warped over and straddled me and I was still laughing.
"I told you I've never dated anyone."
"Yeah, but I'd have thought that you had at least kissed a girl.  You're 16."
He rolled his eyes and held my hands down, leaning in and connecting our lips.
"There, you were my first kiss now shut up."  He smirked and I was speechless.
"Y/N?"  I heard my Dad on the other side of the door.
"Hang on."  I shouted, pushing Five towards the closet and closing the door.  "Come in."
"Is everything okay in here?  I heard a bang and talking."  He spoke up.
"Yeah, I was just listening to music and dancing and I fell."  I lied.
"So that boy is the reason you're in such a good mood?"  He asked and I almost choked.
"Who, Five?  We're just friends."
"He likes you.  I can sense it."
"Goodnight dad."  I rolled my eyes, pushing him out of the door.
"Goodnight."  He chuckled and I slid down the door.  Five opened the closet door and walked towards me with his arms crossed.
"Don't start."  I pointed my finger at him and his iconic smirk found a way to his lips yet again.
