I believe serotonin is the core reason of so many people depressed these days

We crave serotonin so much that

we'll go out and spend all our money

Or purposely hurt ourselves

Or purposely hurt others

Or spend hours on something

Or lie

Or work out till we're too tired to even lift our head and sweat just come out of us

Or starve ourselves until we crave the tiniest amount of food

Or eat too much to the point we're over weight

Or fully change ourselves to fit the standards

Or fully change ourselves so we're not seen as "basic"

Or... there's too many examples and we do this for views and likes and shares so we can feel that little two second feeling of pure bliss
