Chapter 10 : Outside Is Safer Than Inside Tonight .

Lee Minhyuk's P.O.V :

I enter my house and went to my room , making sure to lock it . I took out the paper that the Varmacist gave me and read it . As I kept on reading the list , I got angrier .

-" They don't have anything I need here !" I exclaimed while slamming my fist on my desk .

-"How am I supposed to survive if they don't have HALF of the Serums I need ?" I asked myself frustratedly .

I looked around my room , my eyes suddenly landing on the thick black book with golden details on the side .

-" Can I make these Serums from scratch ?" I asked myself as I sat up and took the book out . I went to the Summary and looked at the page numbers with the corresponding titles .

Suddenly , I heard the door slam open , I know what's going to happen .

I know it very well ...

Should I hide ? But if they find me again , I'll get in more trouble ...

You know what ? Screw it . I'm not staying here .

-" MINHYUK ! WHERE ARE YOU?!" I heard my father shout from the door way . I didn't answer.

-"MINHYUK ! I KNOW YOU'RE HOME ! IF NOT , YOU'LL BE IN BIG FREAKING TROUBLE !" I heard him add .

-"I'm not going to stay with a 'so-called' father . " I said to myself as I took my overnight bag with me , packing some clothes , some Serums , my Potions and Serums Recipe Book Volume 2 , my toiletries and everything I'll need until tomorrow .

Just then , I heard my locked door's handle shake .

Amazing , just what I need .

-" MINHYUK ! I KNOW YOU'RE IN THERE !" I heard him scream from the other side of the door . I didn't say anything as I kept on taking my things with me .

-" I SAID OPEN THIS GODDAMN DOOR !" He screamed again.

Now I'm panicking , he's trying to kick the door down .

-" OPEN *Kick* THIS *kick* FRIGGEN *kick* DOOR *kick* RIGHT *kick* THIS *kick* SECOND *kick* !!" He said with an angry voice .

Took my pre-packed school bag and jumped out of my window while slowly falling to the ground . Just then , my drunk father successfully kicked my door down .

-" WHERE THE HELL DID YOU GO ? " I heard him ask .

-" YOU CAN'T HIDE FROM ME , I GAVE YOU YOUR LIFE AND YOU LEAVE ME !" I heard him scream again .

Suddenly , it went quiet . He must have passed out from the alcohol he consumed . I finally took a deep breath into my lungs and took it back out .

-" Now , where do I go ?" I asked myself .

-" I can't go back to Vampire City , I don't wanna deal with the questions of 'Who are you?' And 'Are you really a Vampire?' Questions ." I wondered .

I guess I have no other option than to sleep outside . I'm the new kid on the block so nobody's gonna let me in . I drank my Night Serum in case anybody came by , put my overnight bag down so that I could lay my head on it and drifted off to sleep .

Byun Aera's POV :

I finally unboxed my Night Serum box .

I think I should go buy some more Serums since I've been running out recently .

What time is it ? 2:00 A.M ?

Not a problem ... I have time .

I took my rucksack with me and jumped out of my window . I landed and saw something I didn't expect to see :

-" Is that .... Minhyuk ?" I asked myself confused .

-"What's he doing out here on a cold night ?" I added . He shifted and I hid behind the wall .

Is he perhaps awake ?

I'm not sure .

I don't wanna leave him out , I end up feeling guilty when I see something and I don't do anything about it .

-"I guess he's sleeping in my living room tonight ..." I said as I approached himand lifted him .

He was surprisingly very light . I laid him on my couch then took a matress , a pillow and a few warm covers . I tucked him in and left .

-" I hope he doesn't wake up by the time I'm back ..." I said as I ran to get to Vampire City before sunrise .

I managed to enter Vampre City again and ran to the Varmacy all over again . I walked inside and the Varmacist was surprised to see me again .

-" Hey Aera ! What brings you here again?" He asks as he throws a blue box away .

-" I realised I might need more than just those Night Serums ." I answered .

-" Oh ! What are you looking for specifically ?" He asked as ge took out a piece of paper and a pen .

-" Actually , I need you to help me with this ." I answered .

-" Really ?" He asked .

-" Yes . Really . I mean , you're a Varmacist after all , thought you could help out ." I said .

-" Sure ! I'll help you out ! " He reassured me as he smiled .

-"Thankyou !" I replied .

-" So , you're a Half-Human Half-Vampire Type , right ?" He asked .

-" Yes , I am ." I answered .

-" What exactly are you looking for ?" He asked .

-"Everything that a Half-Human Half-Vampire Type would be prescribed " I answered .

He looks at me before answering me .

-" Okayyy ... that's gonna take some time since I'll have to tell you what each one is and does . Got time ?" He asked .

-" Sure ." I answered .

-" Perfect !" He smiled as he turned to take a tray with Serum bottle and Potion bottle sized grooves in it , putting every Serum and Potion on it . After around five minutes , he finally turned around .

-"Get ready to pay attention " He said as I nodded .

-" Okay ! This is the Jade Serum . This can make you feel energised for 24 hours ." He began .

This is gonna take a long time to finish .

What about Minhyuk ?

I shouldn't worry ...

he's not Vampire so he won't wake up now .

-" A-Aera ? Are you paying attention to me ?" The Varmacist asked .

-" Oh I'm so sorry ! I just have so much to think about lately " I said apologetically .

-" It's okay , don't worry . Come to think of it , the Clear Serum will fo you some good here . It helps with overthinking ." He suggested .

-" Seems good ." I replied .

I'll just have to pay attention to him before I screw myself with wrong instructions ...
