W-where's Night?

My jaw dropped as fear and panic coursed through my veins.

M-maybe he's in a different compartment?

I try to reassure myself but fail after frantically running to each compartment.

This can't happen.. not again..

I quickly took out my phone and with trembling fingers, pressed Jimin's number.

" Hey babe, why are you- "
" Jimin, I can't find Night. " I say with a shaky voice.
" What do you mean? "
" He's not in his compartment Jimin! " My voice cracks and then I hear Jimin laugh.
" What's so funny? " I say, annoyed.
" Babe, he's in the riding test. "

I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion.
Riding test?
" What's that? "
" Oh... I didn't tell you about that part yet.. "
" What do you- what's going on Jimin?"
I say, raising my voice a little.
" Babe, calm down and come back.. I'll explain everything. "

Jimin's P.O.V

Shit... She's not gonna like this..

Taehyung sighs and tells me,
" She's gonna find out anyways. "
I rest my body against the table and turn to Tae.
" But... She's not gonna like it.. she's gonna break down. I hate seeing her cry and you know that. "
" It's not that bad. "
I scoff.
" Are you serious? The bond she has with Night is different than any other I've seen. The animal literally understands her words. And as much as I don't like it, that horse has her heart. "
Taehyung laughed and smacked me.

" I can't believe you're jealous of a horse Jimin. "
I laugh and Y/N walks in the next moment.
" Tell me NOW. "
I stop laughing and I nod. I walk up to her and take her hand in mine.
We walk outside to the garden at the far end of the house. I know that seeing as much nature as possible might calm her down to an extent.

We sit on the bench and I look down, my eyes not wanting to meet her pleading gaze.
" Jimin... please tell me.. why is Night in a riding test? "
I sigh and meet her eyes and saw that they were glassy. Her chest was heaving up and down and I know she's on the verge of losing all control.
" Y/N.. Night's in a riding test for the academy. Every horse that comes here is meant to be sent to the academy and so each of them go through certain tests to see if they are fit for races or whatever... "
She nods her head.
" Ok... That doesn't seem so bad.. "

I press my eyes shut.
" I'm not finished.. "
I hear silence from her and I keep my eyes shut, not wanting to see her reaction to this.
" If the horse is better than the others, or in this case, a breed that's superior to all others, then... "
I clench her hand tightly.
" Jimin.. what is it.. " she says with a shaky voice. I finally look up at her and I could see the tears in her eyes.

" The horse will be given to the best riders of the academy. A superior horse cannot have a rookie rider. "
I can see she's still controlling herself.
" But... You're the best rider right? "
She says with a small smile, trying to reassure herself.
I slowly shake my head.
" I'm not THE best... I'm ONE OF the best.. but there are still riders better than me.. "

That's all it took for everything to pour out. She put her head in her hands and started sobbing hard. Immediately, I embrace her and make her sit on my lap.
I stroke her head as she continues crying.
" I-i just got h-him back... Is there n-nothing that can be d-done? "
She asks between sobs.

" It's out of our hands this time.. "
She sobs louder and I've never seen her cry so hard before.
" Y/N.. don't cry so hard. It's not- "
" I DON'T CARE! " she yells and gets off me.
My eyes widen in shock as I never expected a reaction of this extent from her.
" WHY DOES EVERYONE I LOVE HAVE TO BE TAKEN AWAY FROM ME?! " she yells and runs back into the house.
