(NAME) FOUND IT ALL FASCINATING. How such an advanced place still hunted for their food themselves, but then again most of them had forgotten their people's ways. A wave of sadness washed over her, Atlantis might not ever be how it once was.

''Hey, (Name), check that out,'' Milo said, nudging her with his elbow and gesturing across the water to show the Atlanteans advanced trapping skills. A man waved at them and (Name) smiled, eagerly returning the action. ''What was you trying to tell me earlier anyway?''

''Oh, right, well, oh gee where do I start? It's Ro-''

She was cut off by a high-pitched squeal. She couldn't tell if it belonger to her or Milo as a giant lobster had been tossed towards them. Alive. (Name) ducked as it tried to snap her with it's claws, it's tail entangling itself around Milo's forearm as it tried to attack him too. With the ease of an expert, Kida swooped in, grabbing the lobster by its claws and body, biting into its neck. Instantly, the lobster fell still. (Name) blinked.

Kida calmly tucked it into Milo's bag as if it wasn't terrifying. ''Tell me more about your companions. You're a physician, he is called Cookie?''

''No, that's Sweet,'' (Name) corrected with a smile. ''Cookie is the, uh, well the cook, so to speak.'' She and Milo shared a knowing chuckle.

''What is Sweet?'' Kida asked as she lead them across the fishing docks.

''The Doctor, he's Sweet,'' Milo said.

''Ooh! He's kindly.''

''No, no, that's his name,'' (Name) said walking behind Milo as they crossed a bridge, which was more or less a plank of wood.

''His name is kindly?''

Milo hopped off the end of the bridge, laughing slightly. ''No, his name is Sweet.'' He turned around, making sure (Name) made it across alright. Her brows were furrowed, arms outstretched and was biting her lip in concentration, doing her best not to fall. Milo outstretched his arms as she got closer and (Name) thankfully stumbled into them, glad to have finished crossing such an unsturdy bridge. ''But he's kindly too,'' Milo added on, turning around to continue the conversation as if that hadn't just happened.

(Name) on the other hand, was having a hard time forgetting it thanks to her glowing cheeks.

''So all of your doctors are kindly and sweet.''

''No,'' Milo saighed, shaking his head.

''Well, I'm sure some are,'' (Name) shrugged, doing her best to keep up with Kida's long strides. ''Ours is, but that's not a requirement.''

''Your missing the point,'' Milo cut in.

''You are confusing me,'' Kida declared with a wave of her hand. Milo anad (Name) slowed down, looking at each other. How else were they meant to explain it?

A while later and they were walking across the edge of another forest, their destination up ahead: an oddly structured house on top of a mountain, a bridge connecting it to the main part of the island. Once (Name) heard laughing, she turned to see two kids running towards them. They hadn't noticed them though as they both ran into the back of Milo's legs.

''Sorry, Sire,'' one said, shyly looking up at him.

''That's alright,'' Milo chuckled as he picked one up, placing him in his shoulders. The girl crossed her arms with a small huff, her eyes widening as she squealed, (Name) lifting her into the air from behind to place her in her shoulders too.

''That better?'' (Name) tilted her head up to see the little girl grinning wildly as she nodded dramatically. With a small laugh, (Name) and Milo followed after Kida again.

The house was open-spaced and a lot of people seemed to be living there but despite it being a small struggle for space, the family welcomed the three with open arms, happily serving them food along with their own family.

(Name) awkwardly prodded her food, she didn't want to seem rude, but she wasn't entirely sure that her food was dead. Milo, on the other hand, was having trouble with the utensils.

''Cookie's are sweet, but yours is not. Sweet is kindly, but that is not his name, Audrey is sweet, but she is not your doctor. And the little digging animal called Mole, he is your pet?''

''Close enough,'' Milo said, sharing another laugh with (Name).

''Hey, Milo?''

''Yeah,'' he said turning towards the zoologist with a soft smile. (Name) gulped slightly, knowing what was to come.

''It's about the Commander, I don't think that he's going to leave willingly tomorrow. He recruited the team to-''

''To find Atlantis, I know, (Name),'' Milo said with a confused shake of his head and a frown on his face. ''But he'll leave tomorrow, he told the King he would. Besides, we've already found it, what more is there to do?''

''Milo, you're not understanding. The Commander, he-''

Mole screamed, standing up, sending pottery everywhere as he clutched his head, shaking as he pointed out the window. ''It's the fireflies! They're back! For revenge!'' He started crying, turning to sob into Sweet's vest.

''Oh, no, they're safe.'' Kida smiled reassuringly. ''They will not set fire to anything.''

She stood up, gesturing for the two of them to follow as she left the house and went into the garden. Milo stood up, hurriedly gesturing for (Name) to follow as he left. ''Wait, no, Milo-'' Sighing once she realised he was gone, (Name) stood up, dusting herself off and following with a shake of her head. ''That man is oblivious.''

Outside, Kida moved a lantern as if she was dancing, elegantly catching the fireflies. Milo on the other hand, was stomping his way across a small pond and waving his hands around desperately in search for something.

''You know, when I chose to go on this mission, I only expected to find was some crumbled buildings or some broken pottery. Instead we find a living, thriving society,'' (Name) said, staring at Milo in hopes he would take in what she was saying.

After coming to the conclusion that she'd always be interrupted or that Milo wouldn't catch on when she tried to explain, she would drop hints. Milo might be oblivious but he was smart, she was sure if enough hints were dropped he would click on.

''These guys are kinda cute, you know, when they're not formed into a fiery collum of death,'' Milo said as a firefly landed on his arm, crawling along it.

Looking back at it, Milo should have realised something was up because (Name), an easily-excited zoologist wasn't even paying attention to the fascinating new species that was right in front of them.
