Later that afternoon...
Runa was getting ready for an event of herself choosing a date. She was wearing that same outfit she wore in the flashback. When she was done dressing up and now putting on a little makeup in a makeup kit that Rouge gave to her, Shania asked her if he could talk to Shadow about it.
"You can inform him, Rouge or Omega in the G.U.N. Fortress or they're currently on a mission", she told her, then she told the rest of her chao friends,"Juniper, Bearace, keep her company in case something bad happens to her. Rosy, Mystico, do the same with me".
"Chao-chao!", they agreed as they did what she told them.
Shania flew out of the window to look for Team Dark with Juniper and Bearace keeping her company while Rosy and Mystico gave Runa some company.
A while later, Pearla went to the door while Rosy and Mystico hid where she didn't notice.
Pearla knocked the door and told Runa,"Hello, dear Runa. Are you done getting ready? 'Cause it's time for you to choose your date".
Uh-oh, she thought to herself as she went outside to choose her "supposed" date.
Meanwhile...
It took the three chao a while to find Shadow, Rouge, Omega or the G.U.N. Fortress. When they found Team Dark, who just finished their G.U.N. mission, they flew in front of them calling them for help.
"Woah, easy, darlings. What's the rush?", Rouge asked them.
The chao tried to use sign language to tell them what's going on, but...
"Alright, one at a time. Tell us what's going on", Shadow told them.
That's when they all explained the news that Pearla told Runa that morning, one at a time. All in a chao language.
"Runa the Hedgehog is about to choose a date. She can't just do it with someone she just met. And now, she had to get this over with and sent them to inform us", Omega translated in a robotic voice.
As he said this, they were both shocked about the news.
"No, this can't be true!", exclaimed Rouge.
You can see Shadow crossing his arms in serious mode, but on the inside he got jealous and really jealous. A moment later, that's when he realized how much he loves her that much.
Then, he turned to the chao and thanked them for informing him and the rest of Team Dark and told them to go back to the cottage. And they did.
After that, he said to Rouge and Omega,"Let's go".
Then, they headed back to the G.U.N. Fortress.
