Today, Jisung learned how much sweat a person can generate when Haru invited him to her home to change clothes. Sweat was coming out of every place fathomable.

It's not like he could deny her invitation, so he agreed (with minimal stuttering) since her home was much closer than his flat. also, the fact that he found a lilypad in his blazer urged him to change clothes soon.

"what's wrong?" She rummaged through her pockets for her keys.

"Nothing!" he squeaked.

Han Jisung was definitely not panicking. His burning red ears were due to something else, not because he was going to a girl's house for the first time. Because that would be stupid. He's definitely been to a girl's house before. Multiple times, in fact.

"you're a weirdo, hamji." she chuckled before frowning in confusion. "That's strange. The door's open."

The boy sucked in a deep breath to ease his nerves despite not sensing any incoming danger.

holy shit, what if he meets her father. He's not ready for something as big as that, especially not looking like he was dragged through a swimming pool by a piglet.

"it was probably my grandfather. He's visiting for a few days. We gave him a key to the house, and he's been abusing it like crazy. Found him using my skincare one day."

Great. Now it was possible to meet two of her family members in this horrible state.

"what about your father?"

"he's probably at work. He's always been there ever since my mother passed away. and I thought I was coping badly."

jisung narrowed his eyes in suspicion. "what does he do at work?"

"great question. all I know is that he works crazy hours even though he's the boss. Something about being close to finding a solution, I don't know." she shrugged, pushing the grand towering door open.

The boy simply stood and watched Haru enter her elegant home and remove her dirtied Mary-Jane shoes.

He was frozen on the spot.

"well, come in then, hamji." she urged. "you're just standing there like a loser right now. Hurry up."

"yeah, of course. i'll come into your house."

With a loud, comical gulp, he followed her in.

The Choi household looked exactly as he expected. The warm home was minimalistic, with a dark wood and cream motif, decorated with cute family pictures, and an expensive wine cabinet catching his eye. it was adorned with white suburban mom quotes.

"make the most of your day." Haru stood beside the boy as he examined the framed quotes. "That was the only thing my mom would say after she got drunk from all the wine."
