jisung begged for his thudding heart to slow down when Haru grabbed his sweating hand and shoved him into her room as if it were nothing. He was instantly hit by the sweet smell of vanilla.

"if you wanted me in your room so badly, you could've just said so." he beamed down at her in satisfaction.

"you wish, stupid."

The wide-eyed boy took a brief moment to soak in her room. A girl's room. it was perfectly organised as if it were untouched. Cabinets filled with informational textbooks underneath a series of horror novels. that summed her up pretty well. Beside stood another tall oak cabinet filled to the brim with her countless academic achievements.

Jisung's eyes drifted to her comfy bed, noticing it was big enough to fit two people and picked up a Ryan plushie."cute plushies."

"Thanks. Felix gave them to me."

he dropped it. "you know they look a lot uglier up close."

Haru's room was painted in a light shade of lilac with countless revision notes, girl group posters on her wall, and a few spider-man pictures cut out from newspapers.

"wow, you really like me-" he paused momentarily. "groupie much?"

The girl forcibly pulled him away from her posters of him. Damn, did his ass look nice there. That was Korea's ass right there.

"I'm not a groupie, dumbass. I just think he's cute," she stammered, her cheeks furiously burning red. "you're so annoying.

How could she compliment and insult him in the same sentence?

He wanted to scream into the Ryan plushie, seeing Haru behave timidly whenever she talked so fondly about Spider-Man, but she never did about him!

His chest seared with envy.

Why doesn't she feel the same for both sides of him? Why doesn't she call him cute too?

"he wears a mask. He's probably far from cute." he scoffed, folding his arms dismissively.

"looks aren't everything hamji. I can just tell he's a sweet person."

Jisung rolled his eyes. "Like, you know him so well. Did you go on a date with him?"

"Why are you so mad? We didn't go on a date, but I hung out with him once."

"yeah, once and then he never came back again. He's not important, no one needed him, but I'm here. I've been here this whole time." he cried exasperatedly, realising belatedly how carried away he was getting.

Haru hesitantly tightened her grip on Felix's hoodie as she anticipating his words nervously.

"what are you trying to say, hamji?"
